On The Inside was formed in 1998, just as Prisoner was receiving a second full screening in the UK on Channel 5. At the same time, fans in Australia were also watching the series on the Foxtel network. The initial website to begin with was a simple collection of sound clips but as interest grew in the site, the more seriously it was taken. The combination of Scott Anderson and Barry Campbell who have ran the site since the beginning was a winning team and continues to be to this day. During our first 10 years we have been involved in a number of important Prisoner milestones and events, including working on the recent DVD release as advisors and writers. We have also arranged personal appearances for Prisoner actors such as Maggie Kirkpatrick, Louise Siversen, Lois Collinder, Maxine Klibingaitis, Reylene Pearce and Maggie Millar in the UK, Europe and Australia. We are the only official fan assocation for the series and have full permission from FremantleMedia to continue preserving the memory of Prisoner for fans to remember for many years to come. Our membership, merchandise and event prices are always as low as we can possibly make them. ALL proceeds from sales are ALWAYS put back into the Fan Club - under no circumstances do Scott or Barry ever take a cut of the takings made. This is our ultimate and most important promise to you. Running OTI is a pleasure, but not a paid job. The pictures on this site are used solely for illustrative purposes and it is not our intention to claim or infer copyright of any of them. As a non-profit club, we believe that the inclusion of these images does not deny the copyright holder any economic advantage that could be earned from them. We are happy to make donations to charity when we can and have recently worked with the Australian charity Positive Women (Victoria) and donated proceeds from an event held in Melbourne to celebrate Prisoner's 30th anniversary.
