Episode Details
Meg takes Helen back to her cell, Helen claims she is innocent and is going to prove it.
Meg locks in Bea and Doreen and she tells them that Helen is staying. They cant understand why she would stay when she didn't have to. Bea wonders what she's up to.
Erica is talking to Helen's solicitor [ ], she refuses to believe his account of her Helen's intentions of refusing bail as Meg walks in. She tells Meg that Helen will no longer receive special treatment and suggests she be put in with Bea and Doreen.
Eddie is waiting for Marilyn to return home and is just about to leave when she walks in. They argue about their relationship. Marilyn apologises for spoiling his birthday and they make up.
Next morning Vera is getting the women up and out of their cells. Helen is still in bed [ ]. Vera tells her to get out of bed and she carries on with her rounds.
Eddie and Marilyn are in bed. She tries to persuade him not to go into work and fails, he tells her he's working in the prison this morning.
The women are having breakfast and Helen complains about the food. Bea tells her it would be better on the outside and questions her about why she refused bail, telling Helen that everything that happens in the prison is her business. Lynne believes that Helen is innocent. Vera tells Helen that she is moving in with Bea and Doreen, much to Bea's delight.
Helen is examined by Greg and she asks for sleeping tablets. She lags on Bea for attacking her and complains about being moved to their cell. Greg tells her to help them as they are as bored as she is. He suggests rehabilitating the women by holding beauty classes for the women. She sees it as good publicity.
Mum and Lynne are talking in the garden. Lynne is pining for Doug and Mum warns her against him. She tells Lynne that her future is with her baby and her family, not Doug. Lynne disagrees and asks Mum why she came back, Mum replies by believing she belongs in Wentworth. Lynne tells her that when she gets out she wont be coming back [ ].
Helen meets with Mr Guthrie and Mr Brandon. She tells them to publicise her time on the inside. She also tells Mr Guthrie to organise Lynne's appeal and let everyone know who's paying for it. She gives Meg's name as the officer who is helping.
Meg is getting ready for work [ ], Mr Guthrie calls and asks to discuss Lynne's case. She doesn't understand why Helen would get involved. She tells him she believes that Lynn is innocent. Meg tells him to go and speak to the police and he leaves.
The women are in the laundry and Eddie walks in. He has smuggled in the cigarettes for Bea and they ask if he enjoyed his birthday. He tells them that Marilyn got the sack and Karen blames Helen, Doreen disagrees and promotes Helen's beauty class. They wind up Franky and she leaves.
Helen is setting up for her class with Greg as the bell goes, Erica tells her to got to lunch and asks where the cosmetics came from. Greg tells her that he brought them in and she tells Helen to go out. She leaves and Erica is worried about the cosmetics containing drugs. Karen walks in as Erica leaves and rows with Greg.
Marilyn is watching TV and there is a knock at the door. Her friend Yvonne [ ] turns up and Marilyn tells her that she is not going back on the game.
She tells Yvonne about Eddie then suggests going for a drink and Marilyn declines, so she offers to go and get some wine and leaves.
The women are eating lunch and Helen asks them all to come to her beauty class. Bea refuses. Doreen tells her it would be a good idea as she used to be in the business herself. Helen is genuinely interested and asks for Bea's help. Bea agrees.
Yvonne comes back with the wine and they talk more about Eddie and how they met.
Erica calls Meg into her office and she is fuming that Meg has been involved with the article on Lynn.
The Bentley's are arguing about where Mr Bentley has been. She accuses him of being unfaithful and she claims she cant go anywhere alone as she doesn't trust him, him being unfaithful caused all their problems. He persuades her to visit her mother and agrees to take her.
The women are having their beauty class and Helen is escorted to the governor's office by Meg. Erica is angry about what Helen has implied about the way they have given up on her. Helen says that she will do everything she can to get Lynn off.
Erica is not convinced that Helen is out to help Lynn and is unsure of her motives.
The women are messing around with the cosmetics when Helen returns, she is shocked at what they have done.
Marilyn and Yvonne are talking over old times when Eddie returns home. Eddie tells her to get out as she believes she's on the game with Yvonne and Marilyn leaves with her.
The women are in the rec room and Bea enquires about what Mrs Davidson wanted Helen for; she refuses to say and Bea tells her she will find out.
Mr Bentley returns home from taking her wife away and gets straight on the phone to a woman, inviting her over for the night.
Mr Guthrie and Mr Brandon are pleased with their publicity. Mr Guthrie believes that Helen will be released because of it.
Susie arrives at Mr Bentley's and they share a drink.
Meg asks Vera if she is okay and advises her to see Greg to help her sleep to cope with her mother's death.
Bea, Doreen and Helen are in bed. Bea tells her to just pay her bail and get out.
Susie and Mr Bentley have just had sex and he goes to get some champagne. He meets Mrs Bentley at the bottom of the stairs and they argue about her other woman. Susie gets out of the bed and gets her clothes. They continue to argue and Mr Bentley realises that it was his wife who put their son in the hole to stop him from being unfaithful. He tries to call the police and she threatens him with telling them that he raped the girl. As they argue he throws her on the stairs and she breaks down as she sees Susie at the top looking down.
Susie tells him she has heard everything and doesn't know what shes going to do.
Eddie is at home, drinking, when Yvonne turns up with a man and explains that they have come for Marilyn's things. Marilyn is with them and he tells the man not to hurt Eddie.
Eddie is then working in the prison and explains to Bea that Marilyn has gone back to her mates and back on the game. Bea isn't surprised and asks him for the morning paper. She takes it and goes off down the corridor reading it.
The women are eating breakfast and Bea tells Helen that she knows what's going on. She gives it to Lynn and she realises that they have stopped helping her with her appeal. Lynn is upset and is escorted out by Meg. Helen refuses to accept the blame.
Mr Bentley decides to go to Mrs Bentley's mother's. She tells him she only did it as she was frightened he was going to leave her and asks that he stay with her and he agrees, as they are getting into the car to leave the police arrive and arrest Mrs Bentley. Susie has told them everything.
Helen sees Mr Guthrie again. They expect to get Lynn released soon and he informs her that Helen is in court soon. They are confident that she will get off with what happened. James Brandon enters and he leaves to go to the governor's office.
Erica explains to Lynn in her office that she in on her way to see the magistrate and is very confident that she will get out of prison. Mr Guthrie enters and offers her compensation. Lynn asks to say goodbye to mum before she leaves.
Mr Brandon enters the interview room and is sarcastic towards Helen. He implies that she isn't out of the water yet as they have found a coat just like hers that he claims in now missing from her wardrobe and he also tells her that he did in fact come back for her after they rowed but the hotel room was empty. Helen asks him what he wants and he simply asks for full control of the company. She agrees.
Lynn says goodbye to mum and then thanks Helen for all she has done. She is then led away to the police car.
