Episode Details

It's quiet in the laundry. The women are getting on with their work. Lizzie notices two of the women with buy up and her and Doreen run out to get theirs. Doreen tries to make things up with Lizzie blaming Bea. Meg walks in and tells Vera that Mrs Davidson wants to see them.

They enter her office to find Greg sat there and she asks how the women feel. Erica asks them for suggestions to stop the women from doing anything that would cause trouble. Meg suggests Sport, Vera suggests warning the ringleaders against starting anything.

Lizzie tells Franky in the laundry that at least they weren't fooled by Helen Masters. This leads to Doreen getting back on side with Franky and blaming Bea [CLICK HERE!]. They argue about this for a few moments which leads to Marilyn storming out.

Lynn is at home baking. She is now very heavily pregnant. Her mum tries to persuade her to go outside and ignore the gossips. Her mum lets in a visitor; it's Doug [CLICK HERE!].

They have a conversation about him being on the inside and she tries to tell him not to tell her parents that he was also on the inside. Her parents return from their visit and they persuade her Dad that they knew each other, with him visiting her. They give him a room to stay in whilst he's visiting Lynn.

The police arrive at Wentworth to interview Marilyn and ask Vera to give them some information on her. She tells them everything about Marilyn; her work, her crimes and her boyfriend Eddie.

Marilyn and Lizzie are arguing in the laundry. Bea tries to sort it out and Franky buts in. Meg intervenes whilst they are arguing and sends Doyle out as her brother has come to visit her. Vera walks in and escorts Marilyn to see the police officer, taunting her.

Franky's brother Gary tells her he wont be able to come and visit her as he is about to start working on a farm so that he can learn how to do it so that when Franky gets out they can get one of their own. Franky reassures him that she is trying her best to stay out of trouble.

Franky asks Meg to see Mrs Davidson, in her office, Franky asks Erica to send all of the money she has been saving to help her brother whilst he is working. She tells Franky that it's meant to be given to her when she leaves but she will see what she can do.

Greg refuses to give Bea any pills to make her feel better. Lizzie walks in and is sent straight back out again after Greg refuses to give her any alcohol. Doreen walks in and is also refused pills for lack of sleep. Karen then walks in and they argue about Helen Masters.

The police officer is trying to break Marilyn and tries to use Eddie to do it but she refuses to tell him anything. He leaves to talk to Vera and she flirts with him. He tells her he can't see her later on that evening as he has a lot of work to do. She offers to cook him a meal, he agrees as long as she helps him to break her.

Meg tries to persuade Bea to help them to lift the women's morale but it gets her no-where.

The women are in the recroom and all is quiet, Bea tells Marilyn to stay away from Vera and is asked by one of the women to read some tea leaves, Franky buts in again and predicts what Bea's might say much to Doreen's amusement. Bea isn't amused and reads Doreen's telling her to stay away from big fat toads like Franky Doyle. Just as Franky gets up Erica walks in and announces that work has been cancelled for the afternoon and a volleyball match has been set up in the grounds for those that want to take part.

Eddie is checking Greg's powerpoint in the surgery and he discusses their relationship. Eddie tells him that he will never have Marilyn back.

The women are playing volleyball outside, Franky and Bea are on opposite teams. Lizzie opts to go first and can't play so kicks the ball instead.

Erica tells Meg that Franky's money has been authorised to be sent to her brother; $230 in total. Erica wishes that her brother was still around as he helped to stabilise her. Meg thinks she will be alright.

The women are still playing volleyball when Franky grabs hold of the ball claiming to have changed the rules, she throws it at Marilyn and when Marilyn goes to throw it back franky dodges the ball and it hits Vera. Vera puts Marilyn in solitary for two days and the women walk back inside.

Later, Vera is having a meal at her house with Graham, the police officer, she tells him that after two days in solitary Marilyn will be talking her head off. Graham compliments her on the meal she has cooked and she asks him if he has anyone special tucked away, he replies that he hasn't. He comments that Vera [CLICK HERE!] is a lot like him, the women are animals and deserve to be punished.

In bed, Franky is having a nightmare about Gary as the bell rings. Eddie is met by Bea in a corridor, two days have already passed. She argues with him about her.

In reception the receptionist tells Vera that Franky's brother has had an accident. She tells Vera that Franky is on her way, she enters and Vera gives her a telegram. Vera is shocked when Franky tells her to do nothing about it.

Vera then lets Marilyn out of solitary.

Franky is trying to read the telegram [CLICK HERE!] and it becomes obvious that she can't read. She scrunches it up and throws it down.

Lynn's parents confront Doug and Lynn with a letter they find addressed to the prison. Lynn tells her parents that if he goes then so will she. Doug has lied to her parents about everything he has told them. His Dad agrees to let him stay as long as he helps him on the farm. They don't want to lose Lynn.

In the recroom Bea warns Marilyn again to stay away from Vera, Marilyn tells Bea that she Vera is out to get her because the cops have out that the pimps are using the parlours to push drugs. Bea tells her to tell them everything as drug pushers should be put inside for life. Franky walks in rubbing her eye and ushers Doreen outside to read the telegram, claiming she cant as her eye is sore. Doreen lies about what it says telling Franky that her brother is enjoying his work and working hard. She then asks Bea for help and Bea refuses. Vera tells Marilyn to do a job for her. Doreen explains to Bea what it says in the telegram and Mum overhears, she tells Doreen that Franky must told and they start walking to her cell.

Franky is looking at the telegram as they enter. Mum asks about the telegram and Franky gets annoyed. She tells Mum that she has read the telegram and to mind her own business and leave her alone.

They then go back and explain this to Bea and are confused about her reaction. Franky enters and Karen offers to read the telegram for her telling her that not being able to read is nothing to be ashamed of. Karen tells her what's happened and she wrecks the rec room [CLICK HERE!].

She is then seen huddled on the floor as Erica, Meg and Vera enter the recroom. They take Franky away and Vera tells Marilyn who is mopping the corridors that she has another job for her; to clean the recroom.

Bea tries again to persuade Marilyn to give the police what they want, telling her that she still has Eddie, but again Marilyn refuses to listen.

Franky is in Erica's office with Vera and Meg. Erica explains that her brother's condition is still critical. Franky asks to see her brother and Erica tells her that she will see what she can do.

Marilyn and Bea are cleaning up the recroom when Eddie enters. Bea tells them to kiss and make up. He goes to leave and Bea tries to persuade him to just talk to Marilyn and sort things out, he doesn't listen to a word she says.

Doug is working on the farm with Lynn's Dad when Lynn brings him a drink. Doug tells Lynn that he isn't getting on very well with her Dad. He tells her he wants them to get a place of their own in Melbourne and get married. Lynn tells him that her parents would never let her leave. Doug tells her not to tell them and contact them when they get to Melbourne.

Meg and Vera take Franky to the hospital to see her brother. The doctor tells Franky that her brother has just died. Lizzie and Franky are then in their cell and she is holding his jacket remembering the last conversation they had.

The next morning, Lynn's mum goes to church and they say goodbye to her. They leave for Melbourne and Lynn explains that she has written them a letter explaining everything. She goes out and Doug steals some money from a biscuit tin. He follows her out.

The women are singing a hymn at a religious service led by a priest. Doug and Lynn leave for Melbourne.

Franky gets out onto the roof and is stood right on the edge. Karen is out in the garden and sees her standing there.

Trivia

The address on Doug's letter which is found by her parents reads Lawson Prison, Highgate, Melbourne [CLICK HERE!]. This is presumably the prison next door to Wentworth that Erica speaks of earlier in the series!!!! (The prison is never referenced to again by anyone!)
