Episode Details
Karen runs up the stairs and onto the roof to try and persuade Franky to come down. The women and Vera are watching from the yard. Karen tries again to persuade Franky to come down and she notices that Vera and Erica have come up onto the roof top. Franky tells Vera to go away and Erica orders Vera back inside and follows her. Karen manages to get her down off the roof and Franky breaks down [ ]. Back inside they are met by Vera and Erica and Franky is taken away to solitary.
The women walk into the recroom and Lizzie brings up the idea that Franky is a desperate woman (!) and that because they are mending the outer fences she could escape and take Doreen and Lizzie with her. Erica walks in and explains the situation with Franky. Marilyn sympathises with her but Bea wont listen as she is the only one to blame for being back inside. Bea tells her again to tell the police what they want to know.
Graham comes into to talk to Vera and asks her how she's getting on with breaking Marilyn. Vera tells him she is trying and she won't let him down.
Karen is in Greg's surgery. He wants Karen to help Franky but she wont listen. She wants him to get some proper rehabilitation programs into Wentworth. He asks her to teach Franky to read and produces some books from her old school to help her to do it.
Doug and Lynn arrive at their new home; one of Doug's friends, Bernie.
Karen comes to talk to Franky in solitary. She tells Franky that she wants to help to teach her to read but Franky just tells her to get lost.
Doug's friends offer him and Lynn their spare room as it has a double bed in it; Lynn isn't happy with this and Susie, one of his friends can't understand why. Doug explains about Lynn getting raped and Susie makes a joke out of it. They go off to bed and Lynn regrets coming to stay with them. Doug wants them to go to bed and she refuses to sleep with him until they are married.
The next morning Karen is sat waiting for Franky, she comes in and sits down. Karen begins teaching Karen to read, Doreen appears and listens for a while.
Doreen then goes back to the laundry and tells Bea what she has just seen. Lizzie doesn't like it, complaining that she wont be able to get out as Franky wont be desperate to leave. Vera walks in and escorts Marilyn to see Graham again. Bea sympathises and devises a plan involving Eddie with Lizzie and Doreen listening.
Graham questions Marilyn again in Reception with Vera watching. He tries to get her to answers his questions and she gets upset and runs into Meg who is just walking in. Marilyn explains what's just happened and Meg [ ] then advises Graham that she is going to stay and listen. Vera leaves and Meg escorts him to the interview room.
Karen is still teaching Franky to read. Franky tells what life was like when she was little and how she left school when she was 11. Karen continues reading but all Franky can do is stare at her.
Lynn is tidying up her new home. Susie is painting her toe nails and she tries to give Lynn some advice about men. Susie seems to think that being in prison for a few months wouldn't be too difficult and is shocked to find out that Lynn has actually been there.
Vera is waiting in reception when Meg and Graham enter. He tells Vera it was a complete waste of time and tells Meg that she was no help. Meg tells him that if he threatens her again she will report him to the governor. She tells Vera the same thing after he leaves.
Bea and Lizzie surprise Marilyn and Eddie by putting them together in the cupboard in the recroom.
Franky agrees to take away the book she is reading, Doreen offers her some of her comics and Franky declines the offer telling her that comics are for morons!
Doug and Bernie arrive home. Lynn is annoyed at first, until Doug produces a piece of paper from Births, Deaths and Marriages that will allow them to get married.
Bea, Doreen and Lizzie are listening to Marilyn and Eddie, who are still inside the cupboard in the recroom. Marilyn explains to Eddie just how scared she is. Vera and Graham have both frightened her.
Lynn tells the others that she wants a real church wedding instead of one at a registry office. Susie comes up with the idea of having a marriage celebration at their place; telling them that they would have to do it quickly as Lynn is very pregnant.
Marilyn and Eddie are still in the cupboard in the recroom, they agree to give their relationship another go. Meg catches Doreen, Lizzie and Bea listening at the door and then watches as they let Marilyn and Eddie out of the cupboard. Meg orders them all to leave except Marilyn. She advises Marilyn to report everything to Mrs Davidson but she refuses telling Meg that she is going to tell Graham everything.
Vera phones Graham to try and arrange their next evening together and he tells her he's really busy. She tells him that she has convinced Marilyn to tell him everything. He arranges to see Marilyn and her the next day. What Vera doesn't know is that he is married with children.
Karen is listening to Franky read. She is doing really well. Karen reads and Franky makes a pass at her which results in Franky getting a slap. Franky accuses Karen of leading her on. She tips over the books and leaves.
Marilyn tells Bea the good news about Eddie in the laundry. Franky walks in and asks Lizzie and Doreen to help her to escape.
Karen comes to see Greg and tells him what happened with Franky. Greg persuades her not to give up teaching.
Susie is fitting Lynn's wedding dress, Lynn tells her about how nervous she is.
Doug and Bernie are talking outside. Bernie persuades Doug to do another bank job, telling him that Lynn will have to go along with it once they are married.
Karen is telling Greg about her time as a teacher. She tells him she came close to having children herself even after she had finished with Greg and wanted 6. Lizzie interrupts them and Karen leaves. Lizzie tries to persuade him to see her at some other time and he refuses.
Marilyn has told Graham everything and he is very pleased. He reassures her that no-one will know where he got his information. She leaves and Vera asks about their date. He puts her off again.
Doug and Lynn get married.
The women are moving the new furniture into the recroom. Bea tells Doreen to be careful getting out and starts a diversion. Franky takes a stepladder and they leave the recroom.
Lizzie is talking to mum in the garden when Franky and Doreen appear. They escape over the fence and run off.
