Episode Details

Franky, Doreen and Lizzie are on the run. Lizzie can't keep up, possibly due to her bad heart and they take her back to the gate. She collapses at the gate [CLICK HERE!] telling the guard that she must see the doctor. Franky and Doreen carry on running.

Meg and Vera herd the women into their cells and lock them in. Vera is angry with Mum and Marilyn. She pushes them both into their cells and Meg tells her to calm down. She makes a sly comment about how things would change if she ran Wentworth.

Marilyn and Bea are in their cell, Bea warns Marilyn not to wind Vera up any more as it might affect her release. Bea is worried about how Lizzie will make it on the outside and how stupid Doreen is for "going with a fat cow" like Franky. A message gets to them that Lizzie is back.

Greg is treating Lizzie in the infirmary. Erica comes in to question Lizzie about the whereabouts of Franky and Doreen.

Franky and Doreen are walking down a street. Doreen is confused about how to act as she has never been on the run before. Franky tells her that she is never going back to Wentworth, ever.

Greg comes in again to check on Lizzie, he asks her about the fire in the shower block (!) as he has just treated two women with severe burns (!). She tells Greg that she would never have made it on the outside as she has no where to go, she's lost touch with her brother. She also tells him that she knows she is living on borrowed time and would like to die with her mates on the inside.

The officers are in Erica's office. Vera is very angry about the lack of security and suggests that it should be doubled, she is also angry about what the press will think. Erica tells her to stop over reacting. Meg asks about the women's evening meal and Vera thinks that they should have it. Erica disagrees. Greg walks in and tells Erica that according to Lizzie, Franky and Doreen had no escape plan and no-one helping them. Erica answers a telephone call from a reporter and asks everyone to leave. Vera lingers and listens to Erica telling them what has happened.

Meg comes in to check on Lizzie and Greg tells her that all she seems to be is scared of what has happened. He offers to give Meg a lift home and she accepts. They walk into her flat discussing what they think of Vera, Marty is no where to be seen and she finds a note from him explaining that he is staying with friends. Greg invites himself to stay for dinner.

Franky and Doreen are still on the run. Doreen announces that she is starving and they realise they haven't got any money. They hear a police siren and Doreen thinks they know about the escape. Doreen and Franky hide behind a bush next to a fast food place. A boy comes out eating chips and they manage to get him to go behind the bush for what he thinks will be a good time, they steal his chips and send him away.

Later on that night they find an old barn to sleep in. Doreen isn't impressed and tells Franky that she is going to leave first thing in the morning and turn herself in. Franky doesn't seem convinced.

Mum is watering the flowers in her cell when she hears Miss Bennett coming down the corridor. She asks if she can go and water the flowers in the garden and Miss Bennett refuses. She tells Mum that she believes Mum saw everything that happened in the garden when Franky escaped and tells her that she will be taken to see the Governor in the morning.

Doreen tells Franky about her past, about what her Dad was like when they had a row. She would run off and he would never come and find her. He would also hit her a lot. She tells Franky that her mum left her when she was very little.

Karen is listening to the radio in her cell and listens to a description given by the reporter of Franky and Doreen.

Lynn is also listening to the same report. She tells Doug what's happened and is quite scared about it. They also talk about how happy they are and Lynn asks Doug to carry her to bed.

The next morning Eddie is fixing a fuse box. Marilyn talks to him about her release. She tells him how much she is missing him. She tells him that they should get married. He tells her that he wants to start his own business and that he would like her to help him. They end up kissing as Vera walks down the corridor. Vera tells them that she will be reporting what she has seen and tells Eddie he will be replaced and Marilyn can go back on the game soon.

Mum is sat in her cell reading a magazine when Vera passes and tells her to go to Mrs Davidson's office.

Lynn is listening to the news again when she finds out that the boy they stole fish and chips from has reported them to the police. Doug tells her that there's nothing they can do.

Mum is talking to Erica. She tells her that she didn't see anything in the garden as she had her back to the fence at the time. She reminds Mum that she is trusted within the prison then tells her to leave. Vera is angry again that Mrs Davidson has not done anything. She suggests taking away all of the prisoners privileges and locking them up early at night. Erica disagrees and they argue about the way the prison is run. Erica lets Vera know that she knows what she is like with the women. Vera tells her that she doesn't know the women and reminds her that she has never even been an officer. Erica sends her out.

Erica is then talking to Meg about what will happen to Franky and Doreen. She doesn't believe that any of the women are being rehabilitated. She asks Meg what she thinks about the way the prison is run and she tells Erica that she won't be able to win no matter what she does.

Lynn talks to Doug about him getting a job; she has been out shopping for food for their picnic; he tells her that he is going to see a man about a job in a factory. Lynn tells Doug that she is going to contact Meg about them getting married and he isn't impressed.

Erica tells Meg that they will be getting a new regional officer the next day; Jean Vernon. The phone rings and Lynn [CLICK HERE!] speaks to Meg about her getting married and having a baby. Erica tells Meg that she is giving Jean Vernon Bill's old office to work and asks her to clean it out. Meg asks her for some leave and Erica tells that she will do all she can to help.

Karen and Greg are talking in his surgery about Franky escaping. Karen blames herself from Franky's escape after she rejected Franky's advances. He talks to her about teaching the others.

Karen is walking back down the corridor when Marilyn asks her to teach her book keeping. Karen agrees (!) and they discuss her business plans and Franky.

Doug and Lynn discuss the fact that he has been offered the job but he also tells her that getting the job wouldn't solve their problems of them having no home and her being pregnant. He tells her that they deserve better and explains to her that there are also illegal ways of making money.

Karen is teaching Marilyn the basics of book keeping and she keeps referring to the job she used to do.

Vera brings Eddie in to see Mrs Davidson. He explains about the faulty wiring. She tells him she knows about him and Marilyn and is cancelling the contract with the electrical firm he works for.

Lynn and Doug are arguing about his illegal ideas. She tells him that they will end up back in prison and he tells her that there is no way that will happen and tries to convince her of the advantages. She tells him that he is nothing more than a cheap crook. He tells her that the money will set them up for life as they are going to steal the payroll from a factory worth $50,000. He tells her that all she has to do is drive the car.

Mum is lying in bed. Meg asks her if she is alright. She tells Mum all about Lynn and they both agree that she has a lot to learn, although he has been through enough.

Doug is telling Bernie that Lynn won't do the job; he gets off the phone and blames her for ruining everything. She asks him to call it off and he refuses. After much arguing, she agrees to be the driver of the car and he tells her that everything is going to be fine. They pick up what they need and leave.
