Episode Details

The Sun is shining over Wentworth as Erica is walking in to the prison. She meets an Officer who is checking the fire hose and asks her if she is on duty in the grounds. The Officer tells her that she is and that the women aren't happy about what's going on. Erica tells her that their opinions don't interest her and that the Officer is to make sure that everyone entering the prison is to be thoroughly searched with no exceptions. Erica walks into the prison and the Officer walks into the grounds.

Vera is in Erica's office checking through a prisoner's file when Erica walks in and asks her what she is doing. Erica sits down and tells her that it looks like she is going through her files. Vera tells Erica that she doesn't like what has happened with Monica Ferguson and Erica asks her what it is she doesn't like. Vera tells her that she has been worried about it so she started looking through some of the files and Monica Ferguson has no record of drugs on her file and Vera thinks that she has been set up. Erica asks her who she thinks would have done it and Vera tells her that it could have been any of the women, none of them need a reason. Erica thinks it is possible that Monica could have been set up and asks Vera how the women are reacting, Vera tells her that Bea and her friends aren't happy and Erica tells her that they wouldn't be as they are her friends. Erica tells Vera that she will give her a list of the women with drugs offences as there are a growing number of drugs offenders in the prison and in future she is to come to Erica with her suspicions. She also tells her to keep a close eye on them on all, including Barbara.

Barbara, Bea and Lizzie are in the laundry. Lizzie wonders how Monica is getting on in solitary and Bea tells her that she would shoot the person who put the pills in her cell. Barbara changes the subject by commenting on how old the machines are in the laundry and is amazed that they still work. Bea thinks that someone is bringing in the drugs and Barbara tells her that there is always a market for drugs. Bea tells her that that is half of the problem. Lizzie tells Barbara that Bea's daughter died from an overdose and Bea tells her to shut up as talking about her wont bring her back but she cant wait to get her hands on the person that framed Monica. Barbara tells her that she has heard that marijuana doesn't do much harm and Lizzie tells her that it's what they mix in with it that's the problem. Bea tells them that that is what gets people hooked until they cant do without it and need more and more but the pushers don't care because of the money they make. Lizzie comments that the kids then starting robbing banks to pay for it and that's what's put up the crime rate. Vera walks in and asks Barbara to step outside. Lizzie tells Bea that Vera isn't bothered by the Governor's niece, Bea comments that they could get God in the prison and Vera wouldn't care.

Vera and Barbara are walking down the corridor and Vera tells her not to play any tricks on her. Barbara tells Vera that she was trying to help her. Vera tells her that she has been through the files and that Monica wouldn't touch drugs; the parcel was for Barbara and that it was her that wanted the drugs. Barbara agrees with all that she says and then comments that she needed the drugs to plant them on Monica to help Vera. Vera asks her where the rest of the stuff is and Barbara tells her that she should be grateful as she was trying to make her look good in front of Erica. Barbara tells her that they are in it together and that Vera has got more to lose than she has so she had better be nice to her. Barbara tells her to get her out of the laundry and then reminds her about the small, colour TV she asked for. Vera tells her not to push her too far. Barbara apologises and then walks back down the corridor, telling Vera that she doesn't have much choice.

Ken and Catherine are having breakfast and Ken asks where Sarah is. Catherine tells him that she is cleaning her teeth and she will be ready soon. She asks Ken to pick her up from school and he tells her that he will. Catherine isn't sure that she should be going back to school as she doesn't think she is ready. Ken tells her that it will keep Sarah's mind occupied and away from other things, then asks Catherine if she has seen his keys anywhere. He finds them on the counter and picks up the paper and puts them in his briefcase. He Catherine thinks that she should keep her at home as she still nervous. Ken tells her that she needs something to keep her occupied and moping round the house wont help her. Catherine reminds him that she is their daughter and asks him if he feels like protecting her at all. Ken thinks that the more fuss they make the worse it will be. Catherine tells him that she won't have a moment's peace whilst Sarah is out of her sight. Sarah appears, dressed in her school uniform. Sarah tells her Mum that they have a tennis lesson today and asks for a note to excuse her from doing it. Her Mum tells her that she can have the note and gives her her lunch. She tells her that her Dad will be there to pick her up after school. She asks Sarah if she is sure that she still wants to go and Sarah nods her head. Catherine tells her that if she feels upset she is to tell the teacher to phone her and she will come and pick her up.

Franky and Doreen are in the flat Doreen was talking about. The man Doreen slept with comes in and notices that Franky is there and tells her to go or warns them that they will both be going. Doreen tells Franky that she will be alright and Franky leaves. Doreen asks him if he wants a cup of tea and he tells her to forget it, pulling her towards him.

Franky is walking through the park when she hears a siren.

Catherine is tidying up and Ken is reading the paper. She tells Ken that they shouldn't have let Sarah go back to school so soon. Ken asks her what else they could have done and Catherine tells him that she could have kept her at home. Ken leaves and the phone rings, Catherine is still tidying up so he answers the phone. He puts the phone down and tells Catherine that Sarah has fainted in assembly and Catherine tells him that she will go and pick her up. Ken offers to but she tells him that he is late for work and she will go.

The women are in the laundry. Lizzie asks where Barbara is and Bea tells her that when you are the Governor's niece you can get away with murder. Lizzie tells her that she didn't though and Bea tells her that it was probably one of her boyfriends that she murdered and Lizzie asks how Bea thinks she did it. Bea tells her to ask her when she gets back after sharing daily gossip with her Aunty.

Vera walks in and tells them that Barbara won't be working in the laundry any longer and has been transferred to the garden and hopes that they can manage on their own. Bea tells Lizzie that it's not what you know but who you know. Lizzie tells her that they could have guessed and Vera tells them that if it had been up to her she wouldn't have got any special treatment as people like her don't deserve it. Bea comments that she killed someone Vera liked and Vera asks Bea if that's what she told her, that Barbara was in for murder. Vera then comments that she thought that Bea knew everything that went on in Wentworth. Lizzie asks what Barbara did do and Vera tells them that Barbara was caught smuggling drugs. Bea slams the press down in anger.

Catherine brings Sarah in and tells her to sit down. Catherine goes upstairs and brings down a blanket and puts it over Sarah. She asks Sarah if she wants anything then tells her that she told her father that it was too soon for her to go back to school and tells her to take the rest of the week off and take things easy. She tells Sarah that she will phone the doctor and Sarah tells her not too. She tells Sarah that she will get her a sedative. Sarah tells her that everyone looked at her as though she was dirty. Catherine hugs her and tells her to rest, she gives her the sedative and Sarah takes it. Catherine tells her that the travel agent called about the trip that they are going on and that they are not going to be on the mainland but on a desert island and that there will be plenty to do when they get there. She asks Sarah if she wants some lunch and Sarah tells her that she isn't hungry. She tells Sarah that she must eat something and Sarah starts having flashbacks about when she was attacked.

Jack Harris, the man who attacked Sarah is scanning the paper when the phone rings. He answers by the name of Warren and then has a conversation with his wife about taking the cat to the vets, telling her that he can't take it and she wanted it so will have to take it herself. He puts the phone down then puts the paper away and starts calculating some figures when Ken walks in. Ken asks him for the list of Foreign Exchange contacts and he asks if he wants them brought it. Ken tells him that he can wait. He asks Ken if there is anything wrong and he tells him that he is over tired, takes the figures and leaves. Warren sits back down and carries on with his figures.

Lizzie is keeping watch for the screws and tells to Bea to hurry up as they will be along any minute. Bea is searching through Barbara's cell. Lizzie comes in and asks her how she knows what the drugs look like as they are not as easy to spot as booze which is in a bottle. Bea tells her to stay outside and keep watch and she does. She comes back in and asks Bea what they will do if there are no drugs in her cell. Bea tells her that she has to be the one that set up Monica. Lizzie goes back outside and Bea comments that knowing she did it is one thing but proving it is another, she also thinks that Barbara couldn't have given it all up when setting Monica up and that she must have more of the drugs hidden somewhere. Lizzie comes in again and asks her what she will do if she only finds aspirin. Bea tells her to get outside and watch for the screws. Lizzie walks out again. Bea tells her that there is nothing in the cell then walks into the corridor with Lizzie and tells her that she must have the drugs on her. Lizzie asks her what she is going to do and Bea tells her that they need to get her on her own which will be difficult with the Officers walking round all the time. Lizzie tells her that she will think of something.

Franky is sat on a bench in the park, smoking. She gets up and walks down the path.

Doreen is asleep with her teddy bear on the bed, there is a knock at the door, Franky tells her that it is her and knocks louder, then tells Doreen to let her in a bangs louder on the door. Doreen gets up and is clearly in pain. Franky bangs on the door, again, as Doreen lets her in. Doreen has cuts and bruises on her face and Franky walks in, telling Doreen that she will kill him. Doreen tells her that he has gone. Franky kicks the bed, telling Doreen that she will find him and kill him. Doreen starts crying, telling Franky that she was right; they should never have stayed at the flat. Doreen tells her that he hurt her then starts crying. Franky hugs her and tells her that she will murder him. Doreen tells her that she just wants to get away from the flat. Franky looks at her face and comments that she is going to have a black eye in the morning. Doreen tells her that she doesn't want to stay there any more. Franky tells her that he wont be back until the morning so they are in no real hurry to go anywhere. Franky closes the door as Doreen tells her that she doesn't want to stay in the flat. Franky tells her that she has to have somewhere to stay overnight, just to rest. Franky hugs her again, telling her that she has her own reasons for wanting to stay and that she wont let him hurt her.

Barbara is watering the garden, an officer is patrolling the grounds. Bea and Lizzie are stood against the wall. Bea comments on the fact that they cant move without a screw being there. Lizzie agrees, telling her that it makes them feel like they cant be trusted. Barbara notices them and comments on the fact that the garden isn't nice and they wave. Lizzie asks how she going to get to her and Bea tells her that she doesn't know.

It's night time. Doreen is asleep. Franky finds a gun in the flat and sits next to Doreen on the bed.

The next morning, Franky and Doreen have eaten breakfast and Franky is playing cards. Doreen tells her that they need to leave because he will be back any minute. Franky tells her not to worry as everything is going to be okay. Doreen pleads with her as he walks back into the flat. He tells them that he thought that they would have left and Franky tells him that they couldn't without saying goodbye. She tells him that she has been thinking and has decided that it's Doreen's turn to go out this morning. Franky tells him that it's about he got himself a real woman. Doreen disagrees and he tells her that it's okay by him. Franky asks him if he likes to play rough and he agrees. Doreen pleads with Franky and she tells Doreen to get out. Doreen leaves and Franky tells him that he is really going to enjoy the morning. He puts his hands on her shoulders and she turns on him and pulls out a gun, he moves away and she asks him if he is scared. She starts laughing then tells him that a bastard like him couldn't be scared, as he likes to pick on little girls. He tells her that he didn't do anything and she tells him to shut up. He goes to grab the gun and she punches him and then knocks him on the head with the gun and he falls to the floor. She kicks him again, puts the gun in her pocket and then leaves him lying on the floor.

Erica is talking to Jean in her office. She asks about Lynn and comments on the fact that Jean has been visiting her in hospital. Jean tells her that she has arranged for Lynn to see a lawyer. Erica asks of her opinion on Lynn's mental condition and Jean tells her that she is pretty down. Erica tells her that sedatives they have been putting Lynn on will have to be stopped. Jean tells her that she needs to be kept busy and left alone as little as possible, getting her interested in one of the courses available. She also asks that Lynn be put in a cell with someone her own age and less tough. Erica tells her that they will be able to do that.

Lynn is making up her bed when Meg brings Barbara in. Barbara comments on the fact that sharing a room is like being at boarding school. Meg tells her that she will get used to it and introduces Barbara to Lynn. Lynn says hello and Barbara tells Meg that she doesn't like the cell. Meg tells her to settle down and that she will get along fine with Lynn. Meg leaves and Barbara asks if Lynn is the one that slashed her wrists. Barbara tells her that it's like the old school, with the same beds and asks Lynn if she went to boarding school. Lynn tells her that she lived on a farm and went to a country school. Barbara tells her that boarding school and prison are the same as they both have ridiculous rules and they are stuck in there all the time.

Jean is on the phone, complaining to her landlord that she needs a plumber to fix the pipes in her flat or she will sue him. She puts the phone down as Meg walks in. She asks Meg how she is and Meg asks her if there are any problems. She tells Meg that she needs to move out of her awful flat before she gets washed away and then adds that she has invited Greg round for dinner. Meg tells her that he won't mind if she put him off. Jean tells her that she owes her dinner too and asks if they can make it a threesome as soon as the plumber has fixed up her flat. She asks Meg what she wanted and Meg tells her that she thought Jean was looking for her. Jean tells her that she wasn't and then asks Meg how much longer she is going to be searched coming into the prison as she doesn't like it. Meg tells her that they are being searched too. Jean tells her that she is embarrassed.

Vera is taking Lynn and Barbara down the corridor. Lynn asks her what's going on and Vera tells her that she is following the Governor's orders. Barbara comments that it is always nice to be kept busy, they meet Bea and Lizzie and Bea says hello to Lynn. Vera tells her to keep moving and Bea tells her that they only want to welcome her back and fill her in on all the gossip. Vera tells them that they have 1 minute and then takes Barbara off down the corridor. Bea asks her how she is and Lynn tells her that she is alright. Lynn tries to move away from them and Bea pushes her back. Bea tells her that they want to talk to her, they ask her to do them a favour; search Barbara's clothes for drugs. Lynn tells them that she doesn't know anything about drugs and refuses. She tries to move away again and Bea stops her again. Bea tells her that she has to as she is the only one that can and that she wouldn't want to upset Bea. Lynn tells her that she will do it but then asks what will happen if she catches her doing it, Bea tells her that she has already thought of that and Lynn walks down the corridor.

Ken is at home talking to Catherine. He asks her how Sarah has been and she tells him that she has been very quiet and that the police have been again, showing Sarah some mug shots, but she didn't recognise anyone. They have told her that they are going to come back again with more and that they want to do a line up. Ken tells her that he doesn't like and she agrees but she adds that they have to catch him. Ken then tells her that they would be better dropping the whole thing and Catherine tells him that there is someone outside attacking young girls, not just Sarah, asking him what will happen if the man attacks someone else. Ken tells her that even if they do catch him, rape cases are hard to prove, especially with the evidence they have and he doesn't think it would be a good idea to put Sarah through an ordeal like that.

Barbara is asleep and Lynn is awake. She looks at Barbara then gets out of bed starts going through her things. Barbara moves and Lynn stops. She waits and then looks in the cupboard. Barbara then gets up and asks Lynn if she has lost anything. Lynn apologises then explains that she was getting pills in the hospital and now she back in prison, they won't give her any and she was wondering if Barbara had any. Barbara asks her if she has any money, Lynn tells her that she hasn't but she can get some. Barbara tells her that when she gets the money, Lynn will get the pills, as nothing is for nothing. Barbara then lies down in her bed and watches Lynn as she gets back into bed.

The next morning Meg is letting the women out of their cells. Bea and Lizzie follow her down the corridor as she tells Barbara and Lynn to hurry up. Lynn comes out and tells Bea that the drugs are in her bra and then carries on walking down the corridor. Bea nods at some of the women.

Barbara is getting dressed when Bea walks in and grabs her, telling her to shut up then telling Lizzie to search her. She grabs some pills, telling Bea that they look like what she had when she had flu. Bea slaps Barbara then grabs her arms, telling her that her daughter died because of people like her. She tells Bea that she never meant to push the drugs. Bea tells her that she probably never meant to put the pills in Monica's cell either. Bea tells her that she should kill her as it's all she deserves. She pulls Barbara up and Barbara pleads with her. Bea tells her that hanging is too good for her, she has a better idea. Barbara pleads with her again. Bea tells her that she makes her sick. She asks Lizzie how many pills there are and Lizzie tells her that there are a lot. Barbara tries to run off and they grab her and push her on the bed. Bea wonders whether she would like a taste of what she has been pushing and Lizzie tells her that she deserves everything she gets. Bea tells her that they might even get her hooked on it. Lizzie holds her down as Bea forces the pills into her mouth, commenting that there are enough pills to kill someone and it will look like Barbara was just another junkie who didn't know when to stop. Barbara screams as Meg and Vera come running down the corridor and the women outside stop them from getting in. They push past them and Bea and Lizzie move away from Barbara. Bea tells them that she found the pills and the pusher. Barbara tries to say something but Bea tells her to save her breath. Meg tells Bea and Lizzie to get out. Lizzie and Bea complain, asking for a reward and Meg tells them to get out of the cell. They leave and Lizzie tells them not to send for Bea or Lizzie the next time they want any help. Vera tells Meg to get them to breakfast and she will deal with Barbara. Meg takes them out.

Barbara tells Vera that she has to help her and Vera tells her that she can't. Barbara tells her that they tried to kill her. Vera tells Barbara that if they wanted to kill her she would be dead. She tells Barbara to get up and takes the pills. Barbara asks where she is being taken too and Vera tells her that she is going to see her Aunty and that she won't be pleased to find out that it is her niece who has been causing the trouble. Barbara tells Vera that she will tell them that it was her idea. Vera tells her that the other women are already against her and that if she involves Vera she won't have a friend left in the place and wont last 5 minutes. She also tells Barbara that her Aunty won't be pleased and tells her to move. Barbara leaves the cell with Vera.

Sarah walks downstairs and puts the TV on, flicking over the channels until she finds some music. She walks into the kitchen and tells Catherine, who is preparing a meal, that she doesn't want them to pick her up from school anymore. Catherine tells her that they are only trying to protect her. Sarah tells her that they are making her look like an idiot in front of the other girls. Catherine tells her that she worried about her, not the other girls. Sarah asks her if she wants any help and Catherine tells her that she doesn't. Sarah tells her that Beth is having a party and asks her if she can go. Catherine tells her that they need to speak to her Dad first. Sarah complains and Catherine tells her that they don't know Beth very well. Sarah tells her that they know her and asks her if they want her to bring everyone home so that they can look at them. Catherine tells her that she doesn't want her to do that and asks her if her parents will be there. Sarah tells her that they will and Catherine tells her that her father will probably say it's alright. Sarah walks into the living room and carries on watching TV when her Mum comes in and tells her that she run out of oil. Sarah tells her that she will go and Catherine tells her that she will go and get her keys. Sarah tells her that she will go Catherine thinks that Sarah wants her to drive her down to the shop. Sarah tells her that there is no point in her going then and she may as well go herself. Catherine gives her some money and tells her to get some milk too and Sarah leaves.

Sarah is at the shop and the shopkeeper comments on the fact that she hasn't seen her for days and asks her if she has been unwell. Sarah asks for the oil and the milk and the shopkeeper gets them as Sarah looks through a magazine. A red car pulls up across the street and Warren gets out as Sarah is coming out of the shop. Sarah notices the man then runs back into the shop and asks to use the phone. Warren walks into the shop and flicks through a copy of playboy.

Catherine is on the phone telling Sarah not to panic, to stay where she is as she will be safe with the shopkeeper there. Catherine tells her to stay where she is and that she will be down to pick her up. Catherine puts the phone down then calls the police.

Sarah is sat in the back room of the shop and the shopkeeper comes in, asking her what's wrong. She asks if the man is still there and she tells him that he is. Sarah tells her that Mum has told her to stay where she is as she is ringing the police and coming to get her. Sarah tells her that the man raped her.

Barbara is stood in front of Erica, with Vera present and Erica asks her what she has to say about it all. Barbara smiles then looks at Vera. Erica then asks her if she had anything to do with the drugs found on Monica. Barbara doesn't say anything and Erica tells her that she is putting her in solitary and one of the other officers takes her out. Erica tells Vera that she was present when Barbara received the parcel and she was supposed to check every item thoroughly. Vera tells her that she is her niece and Erica tells Vera that Barbara being her niece has got nothing to do with it and reminds her that Barbara was not to receive special treatment. Vera asks her how long she will stay in solitary and Erica tells her that that will depend on the visiting judge. Vera leaves.

Meg is sat in reception when Jean walks in and signs out. Jean comments on Meg being on her own, as there were supposed to be two officers on duty. Meg tells her that they found out that it was Barbara Davidson who was supplying the drugs. Jean is surprised and then asks Meg if she can move in with her. Meg tells her that she will think about it and Jean leaves.

Catherine is driving down the road then stops outside the shop. She watches Warren come out and then Sarah comes out shouting at her. Warren looks at Sarah, then at the car, the runs across the street. Catherine puts her foot down and runs him over, the stops and reverses over him twice. She stops and then gets out of the car and looks at his dead body on the road, then looks at Sarah and then back at the man. She looks up as she hears the sirens in the distance.
