PREVIOUSLY.....
Paul tells Wally that Ann is still in a coma and the chances of her pulling through are quite slim.
Sheila and Lisa are locked in their cell. Sheila gets a small package which has been taped under the sink and opens it up to reveal a pill. Lisa lectures Sheila for taking drugs in their cell. Sheila tells her to rack off, before swallowing the pill, then she suddenly goes funny and yells out in pain before collapsing on the floor. Lisa screams.
Cynthia pays Amanda a visit in solitary later, and tells her she was stupid and she can't afford to have stupid people on her team.
Amanda: But I didn't know that stuff was laced.
Cynthia: It doesn't matter now, you were only top dog temporarily anyway. You've been demoted Spencer. I've arranged for Roo Morgan to be transferred here tomorrow, and she'll soon sort you all out.
Amanda: But what about my appeal?
Cynthia: Appeal? What appeal? You don't think you're ever getting out of here do you Spencer? You're going to stay locked up where you belong.
Amanda: You rotten bitch. You used me.
Cynthia: You catch on quick don't you Spencer.
Cynthia shuts the hatch and Amanda starts banging on the door. Cynthia walks off laughing.
Joyce arrives at the hospital to see Ann, and sees Trigger in reception. She is about to ask him if he's seeing Ann when she hears him ask the receptionist if he can see Sheila Blake.
Cynthia is at home when someone knocks at the door loudly. It knocks again, and Cynthia shouts "All right, all right, don't knock the bloody door down". She opens the door and Joan Ferguson is stood there.........

Episode 756
Cynthia: Joan!! What on earth are you doing here?
Joan: Quick, let me in before I'm seen. (They go inside).
Cynthia: You can't stay here, I've already had the police interrogating me.
Joan: I think you should reconsider. I know too much remember?
Cynthia: You wouldn't talk, I know a lot about you too.
Joan: What have I got to lose though? I'm already inside for years.
Cynthia: Well you can stay tonight but tomorrow you'll have to leave.
Joan: Do you remember Tania Layton?
Cynthia: You know darn well I do. What about her?
Joan: Well she's in my cell-block. She's too scared to talk at the moment, but I'm sure if I go back inside then I could persuade her otherwise.
Cynthia: You wouldn't dare.
Joan: Try me. Think about it, you could end up being my cellmate.
Cynthia: Well a week then, but no more.
Joan: Fine. That should give you enough time to get me some money and a passport.
Cynthia (sarcastically): You don't want much do you?! Are you sure there's nothing else I can do for you?
Joan (smiles): A hot meal and a drink wouldn't go amiss.
It's morning, and Cynthia arrives in reception.
Cynthia: Any news on Mrs. Reynolds?
Wendy: No change I'm afraid. It's not looking too good is it?
Cynthia: No. Well I'll be in my office if you need me. I'm expecting a visit from the department this morning.
Wendy: Yes Miss. Leach.
Cynthia leaves reception and a police escort arrives with 2 new prisoners. One of them is Roo Morgan.
Police escort: Got room for 2 more?
Wendy: Just one moment I'll call for an officer.
Roo (to policewoman): Get your bloody hands off me.
Police escort: With pleasure.
Rodney enters reception.
Police escort: Good luck with this one.
Rodney (to Roo): OK you, get on the white line.
Roo: I beg your pardon?!
Rodney: You heard what I said. Now get on the white line.
Roo: How about you ask me properly, then you might get somewhere. You can start by saying please.
Rodney (emphasises word 'please'): Please get on the white line!
Roo: That's better. I can see I'm going to have to teach you some manners.
Wendy looks at policewoman.
Roo is taken to her cell.
Roo: Oh good, a single cell. I do like my privacy.
Rodney: Just get your bed made and read this rule book.
Roo: You've got a lot to learn if you want to get me to do anything.
Joyce enters the room.
Joyce: Problem Mr. Adams?
Rodney: Nothing I can't handle.
Joyce: OK, well hurry up and get your bed made Morgan.
The other prisoner is waiting outside. She is about 50, but dressed like a 20 year old, in leopardskin trousers and with blonde curly hair.
Joyce: Have you just come in too?
Candy: Yeah, I'm Candy Evans.
Joyce: Really?! Well I'll take you to your cell.
While they are walking, Candy asks if she can work. Joyce tells her that she can but doesn't have to as she's on remand, but Candy asks if she can work in the kitchen.
Lisa, Chrissie, Cindy, Kath, Merle and a couple of extras are working in the laundry. Kath is working the press.
Lisa: I'm gonna kill that Amanda bitch when I get my hands on her.
Chrissie: You don't want to do anything that's gonna bugger up your chances of getting out. You don't want your baby being born in this dump, believe me I know..
Lisa: Yeah yeah, but Sheila had better not die that's all.
Cindy: Well I'm not having any more drugs off her that's for sure.
Lisa: Yeah, well it's a shame it wasn't you who took that one Sheila had.
Cindy: You've got a short memory Mullins.
Lisa: No I haven't, I've got a really long one, and one day you're going to pay for what you did.
Chrissie: Forget it Lisa. She's not worth it is she.
Kath: Chrissie's right Lisa. You'll be out in a few days and then you can forget all about this place.
Chrissie: That's right, you can concentrate on the baby.
Lisa: I'll never get out if the Leach has her way.
Kath notices Merle is quiet.
Kath: Are you okay Merle? You've hardly said a word all morning.
Merle nods.
Kath: You're not still worrying about your release are you? I told you we'd ask Wally as soon as we see him. I'm sure he hasn't forgotten.
Merle: I bet he has. He's probably never coming back here again.
Kath: Come on Merle, don't be silly.
Rodney enters with Roo.
Rodney: Okay Morgan, this is the laundry. Maxwell will show you around. Rodney leaves the laundry.
Roo (to Kath, on press): Alright you. I'll work that now.
Kath: The top dog decides who works the press.
Roo: And that ain't you, now are you going to get off or do I have to take it by force?
Kath: Try it. Arrgh! (Kath screams as Roo grabs her arm and sticks it under the press).
Roo: Now, you've got 5 seconds to say I'm top dog or your arm gets flattened.
Kath: OK Ok.
Roo: OK what?
Kath: OK you're top dog.
Roo lets her go as Joyce enters the laundry with Candy.
Joyce: Is everything alright in here?
Roo: Perfect.
Joyce: Well back to work then ladies. This is Candy Evans, she's offered to help out in here while she's on remand.
Candy: I said I'd work in the kitchen.
Joyce: You'll work where you're put Evans. Now get to it, I want that pile of laundry finished by the time I get back.
Joyce leaves the laundry.
Chrissie: Is your name really Candy?
Candy: It's short for Candice, but Candy sounds much better.
Roo: Mutton would be more appropriate.
Lisa: That's not nice.
Candy: Oh don't worry about her. I find it best to ignore people like that.
Roo: Yeah, well you won't find it easy to ignore me in here.
Cindy: Are you a pro?
Candy: God no. There's only one man for me dear.
Cindy: I'm not your dear.
Candy: Sorry love.
Cindy: I'm not your love either.
Merle: What are you in for?
Candy: Being drunk and disorderly.
Cindy: Yeah right. They wouldn't lock you in here for that.
Candy: No but I booted a couple of coppers to make sure.
Chrissie: You mean you wanted to get locked up?
Candy: I had my reasons.
Lisa: What about your man?
Candy: Oh I'm sure he'll understand.
Cynthia and Janet Walsh, from the department, are talking in the governor's office. Janet tells her that there's no telling if and when Ann will recover, so she may have to advertise the position of governor. Cynthia tells her she should leave it a few days in case Ann pulls through. Janet agrees, and then tells Cynthia that Edwina is due out of solitary tomorrow, and suggests she is moved to a different cell. Janet also tells Cynthia to have Mr. Wallace brought to the office immediately.
Joyce takes Brumby to the kitchen.
Joyce: Here's another one for you Mr. Pringle.
Mervin: Thank you Mrs. Pringle.
Brumby: Have you two had a tiff or something?
Joyce: That's none of your business Tucker.
Brumby: I can't believe I've got to go back to work already. I nearly died you know.
Joyce: Well you look alright to me.
Mervin: Come on Tucker, start peeling the potatoes for lunch. We're running behind.
Mervin goes over to Joyce and starts whispering.
Mervin: We need to talk Joyce.
Joyce: There's nothing to discuss Mervin. You and your tart are welcome to each other.
Mervin: But it's you that I want. I haven't seen her for ages, I think she's finally left me alone.
Brumby (shouts): Don't you know it's rude to whisper.
Joyce storms out of the kitchen leaving Mervin looking sad.
Wally knocks on the governor's office door and is told to enter.
Wally: You asked to see me.
Janet: Yes. I thought you'd want to be the first to know. Merle Jones is being paroled.
Wally: Well that's wonderful.
Janet: Yes well personally I don't think she's ready, but a family have come forward and offered to take her in.
Wally: When's she being released?
Janet: Tomorrow afternoon.
Wally: OK well I'll drive her there myself.
Janet: That won't be necessary, there's plenty of work for you to do here. Anyway, they're coming to pick her up.
Cynthia is back at home with Joan.
Joan: Did you get me the money and passport?
Cynthia: I haven't had time. Anyway, I don't know where I'm supposed to get a fake passport from.
Joan: Oh come on Cynthia, you know enough ex-cons to be able to lean on a couple.
Cynthia: Well I'm flat out at work at the moment. It'll have to wait a few days.
Joan: That's all right Cynthia. I'm sure I'm safe enough here for now.
It's next day and Joyce and Marty have lined the women up in the corridor - Amanda, Sheila and Edwina are back with them. They are being noisy. Joyce tries in vain to quieten them down, until Chrissie is the only one talking - then Marty tells her to shut up or she'll be in solitary. Cynthia enters the scene and all is quiet.
Cynthia: Right ladies. I have a list here of the new cell allocations. There are groans all round.
Merle: Can I stay with Kath?
Joyce: Quiet Merle.
Cynthia: Quiet everyone! Now, Maxwell and Spencer, cell one.
Kath and Amanda look at each other in horror. Merle looks distraught.
Cynthia: Mullins and Steele, cell two.
Lisa: What?!
Cynthia: Have you got a problem with that Mullins?
Lisa: No Miss Leach.
Cynthia: Good. Three days can easily be extended you know. Right, Tucker and Simpson, cell three.
Brumby mutters something, sees Cynthia looking and shuts up.
Cynthia: Latham, Evans and Blake are in the dormitory.......
Cynthia:.......and Morgan, you get a single cell. Right, everyone get their beds made. In silence please.
Merle: What about me Miss Leach?
Cynthia: Ah yes Merle. You won't be seeing your mates again for a long time.
Kath: Where are you taking her?
Cynthia: That's none of your business Maxwell.
Merle (starts crying): Kath, don't let them take me.
Cynthia: Don't you want to be released then?
Kath: Released? You mean....?
Cynthia: Just mind your own business Maxwell. It's not like you'll miss her. Now come on Jones.
Merle and Kath hug and say their goodbyes. Everyone else shouts goodbye as she is taken off.
Brumby tells Cindy that she's had enough of Leach and now Roo's back it will get even worse. Cindy asks her if she's planning to escape but Brumby tells her to mind her own business. Cindy threatens to tell everyone unless she counts her in.
Kath and Amanda are making their beds. Kath is very quiet.
Amanda: Are you missing Merle?
Kath: Of course I am, but I'm glad she's away from this place and people like you.
Amanda: I didn't mean to take over. I had no choice, Miss Leach threatened me.
Kath: Well she must have had something on you.
Amanda: No, she just threatened to kill me if I didn't go along with it.
Kath: Bull.
Amanda: Can't we start again?
Kath: Rack off Spencer. You keep to your side of the cell and I'll keep to mine.
Lisa pokes her head round the door and starts moaning about sharing with Edwina.
Kath: You're one of the lucky ones Lisa. You get out in 3 days.
Lisa: Yeah and it can't come soon enough for me.
Fast forward 3 days, and Lisa is signing out in reception. She says goodbye to Marty and tells Rodney that he's a bastard for setting her up and he'd better watch his back. Then she is taken to the gate where Roy is waiting for her.
Roy: I can't stay long, I'm supposed to be at work, but my mate Adam's gonna take you home. I'll see you later ok.
They kiss and then she gets in the car with Adam and it drives off.
In the dining room, Roo gets behind Brumby in the queue and taunts her about Rita dying, and then tells her that she hasn't forgotten how she went against her at Blackmoor. Brumby offers to work for her, and Roo says: "You bet your life you will."
Brumby sits down opposite Cindy and tells her she's got to get out of this place for good but to give her time to come up with a plan.
Adam drops Lisa off at Roy's flat. He invites himself in for a coffee and follows her into the kitchen.
Adam: Nice place.
Lisa: Yeah well I'm not being rude but I'd like a bit of time to settle in if you don't mind.
Adam: That's not very friendly is it?
Adam starts rubbing himself against her and she pushes him off. Adam starts getting angry and calling her a stupid slag. He comes on to her again, she pushes him harder and he hits his head on the corner of a kitchen unit. He feels his head and sees a bit of blood on his hand. Then he gets really angry and pushes Lisa back, she falls back, trips over a table leg, and falls to the floor before screaming in agony.
Sheila is being excorted to court by Joyce. In the police car Joyce asks Sheila how she knows Trigger. Sheila denies knowing him, until Joyce tells her she saw him at the hospital and heard him asking about her. Sheila goes quiet and then admits that he is her brother, but she didn't know he was working at Wentworth until she got there. Joyce tells her she'll have to report it but Sheila pleads with her until she promises not to say anything. Sheila tells Joyce she's a real good sort.
Trigger and Roy are working in the isolation block and Roy is talking about Lisa, and how he can't wait to get home and see her. Suddenly Rodney appears.
Rodney (to Roy): You've got a phonecall in reception.
Roy: Oh right. Is it important?
Rodney (getting impatient): I don't know do I?! In future could you tell people not to phone you while you're at work? I've got better things to do than run all the way up here giving you messages.
Roy (sarcastically): Yes sir, sorry sir.
Roy is in reception and Wendy gives him the phone. Rodney is shaking his head in the background.
Roy: Hello....yes that's me....What?!.....Oh my God, oh my God. How?......What?!
Roy puts the phone down.
Wendy: Is everything alright?
Roy: No. No it's not alright. Lisa's lost the baby.
With this he walks out of the prison. Rodney shouts that he forgot to sign out but he doesn't come back.
Roy is now with Lisa in the hospital and she tells him the full story. Roy tells Lisa he's got to go, and then he leaves the hospital in a rage.
Sheila is processed back in by Joyce and she has received 5 years.
Roy knocks on Adam's door. Adam answers and Roy pushes his way inside and proceeds to bash the hell out of Adam. He leaves him lying on the floor, covered in blood.
Sheila walks into the laundry and Kath asks her how she got on.
Sheila: 5 bloody years thanks to that screw bitch. Where is she?
Chrissie: Cleaning duties.
Sheila: That's ok, I've got all the time in the world now, and I won't stop at nothing until that bitch is dead.
Roo: Forget it, she's mine.
Sheila: No way. That bitch is all mine.
Roo: We'll see.
Cynthia enters and tells the women to carry on with their work, then she asks to speak to Roo outside.
Cynthia: How are you settling in?
Roo: Not bad. Could be better though.
Cynthia: Well you'll just have to make do. I want you to make sure I get full co-operation from all the women on everything regarding security. I don't want any more trouble from the department. If anyone steps out of line, well I'll leave that to your discretion, but don't leave any marks.
Roo: Sure. When do you want the drug trade started back up again?
Cynthia: You'd better hold off for a while until things settle down. It shouldn't be for too long, then we'll screw the bitches for everything we can get.
Roo: Fine, but I'm not doing it for 25%.
Cynthia: You'll do as you're told Morgan. You know that it's not wise to upset me, don't you?!
We see Marty's front room is empty. There is a knock at the door. It knocks again and Marty comes running through in just a towel, and soaking wet. He opens the door and Spike is stood there. Marty tells her that Stu is working late and won't be back for several hours. Spike turns to go but Marty puts his hand on her shoulder and gently pulls her back. She resists to start with, but then they start to kiss and Marty leads her to the bedroom.
Wally opens the hatch to Kath and Amanda's cell, and tells Kath that he's been to see Merle and she's settling in well with her new family. Kath is pleased and tells him to send her love. Cynthia chooses this moment to walk down the corridor and she asks Wally what he thinks he's doing, after shutting the hatch.
Cynthia: You do know that you're not supposed to be in this area after lock-up? In fact you shouldn't even be in the prison.
Wally: Yes, I'm sorry Miss Leach, I had a few extra jobs to catch up with and I promised Merle I'd give Kath a message so I thought I'd....
Cynthia: You thought you'd break the rules and give the prisoners messages from outside. Do you know how bad that is for security?
Wally (getting angry): Oh don't be so damned ridiculous. Haven't you got any compassion in you whatsoever? Actually don't bother answering that because I know you haven't.
Cynthia: I will not be spoken to in that tone by a prison handyman, Mr. Wallace. OK you can collect your things and leave, your services are no longer required here.
Wally: You're sacking me?
Cynthia: That's correct. I'll escort you off the premises now.
Wally looks dumbfounded.
There is a knock at Marty's door again and he tells Spike to go and hide in the bathroom. They are both dressed now. Marty answers the door and is surprised to see his mother, Meg, there.
After lights out Cindy asks Brumby if she's come up with an escape plan yet, she says she has but she'll have to get on kitchen duty tomorrow if she wants to be in it. Cindy says she can't wait to get out of this hole, and Brumby responds with: "Not half as much as I can't".
In Marty's front room, Marty and Meg are sat down. Spike is still in the bathroom.
Marty: Where did you go? Everyone's been worried you know.
Meg: Yes I'm sorry love, I went to stay with Ettie. I just had to get away for a while to sort myself out.
Marty: And did you?
Meg: I've come to a couple of decisions. I'm going to see Ann tomorrow and ask for my job back, I'm not going to be pushed out by the likes of Cynthia Leach.
Marty goes quiet and looks at Meg.
Meg: What's up? Has something happened?
Marty: It's Mrs. Reynolds. We couldn't contact you to let you know.
Meg: What is it?
Marty: She's been in a bad car accident. I'm afraid she's been in a coma for several days now. Things don't look too good for her. I'm so sorry mum.
Meg looks as if she's about to cry. Then she tells Marty that she must go and see her now. Marty offers to drive her. Meg asks to use the bathroom first but Marty gets out of it by saying his flatmate is in the shower.
In the car, Marty tells Meg about Chrissie being back in Wentworth and that he's finding it hard to cope with her. Meg tells him she knows it's hard but he really must move on.
Meg: You've got to remember that the Chrissie who killed your father is a different Chrissie to the one you see now.
Marty: That's what everyone keeps saying, but all I see is the woman who killed my dad.
They reach the hospital and Meg tells Marty she'll talk to him about it later.
Cynthia gets a visit from the police asking if she's seen Joan yet. Cynthia lies and tells them she hasn't but promises to let them know if she turns up. Inside she tells Joan she'll have to go and offers her 1000 dollars. Joan tells her she won't leave until she's got a passport. Cynthia tells Joan to get out now as she's nothing but trouble and she wants nothing more to do with her. Joan calls Cynthia a bitch, and Cynthia picks up the phone and tries to ring the police. Joan pulls the phone out of her hand and punches Cynthia in the face. Cynthia hits her back and they end up fighting on the floor. They fight for several minutes and then Joan grabs Cynthia's head and whacks it on the concrete floor. Cynthia is out cold!
Roy and Lisa arrive back from the hospital, and Roy tells Lisa that he still wants to marry her and everything will be alright. Lisa tells him she just wants to go to bed. Suddenly there is a knock at the door and Roy answers it. Lisa is stood behind him. There are 2 policemen at the door and one of them asks if he is Roy Bateman. Then he is told that he's under arrest for the murder of Adam Bridges. Lisa faints with shock.
Joyce tells Candy she can finally work in the kitchen. When they get there, Mervin, Brumby and Cindy are all working. Candy shouts over to Mervin: "Mervy wervy darling. It's me." Brumby and Cindy look at each other and laugh, Mervin drops his saucepan on the floor. Joyce looks at him in horror as Candy goes up to him and kisses him on the cheek........
