PREVIOUSLY.....
The truck has got through the first gate and is approaching the second when the alarm starts to sound.
Cindy: Hell, we're going to be caught.
Brumby: I'm not staying in here.
She puts the blade of the knife close to the driver's private region.
Brumby: Put your foot down or I'll cut it off.
The gate guard puts his hand out to stop the truck.
Brumby: Don't stop.
The truck goes crashing through the gate. They are out! The gate guard gets on the phone and says that the women have escaped in the garbage truck.
Meg arrives at the prison demanding to see Cynthia. She tells her that she's got evidence that she had something to do with Ann's accident, and Tania Layton is going to give evidence against her. Cynthia tells her it's all lies and nobody will believe her. Meg leaves and Cynthia makes a phonecall.
Cynthia: Hello Sid....
Cynthia is sat down drinking, when she gets up and makes a phone call.
Cynthia: Hello. Yes I have some information on the whereabouts of Joan Ferguson.
Joan arrives at the airport and checks in. She is approaching her plane when police swarm the place and she is captured. As she is being helped into a police car she snarls: "Bloody Cynthia!"
The women are having breakfast in the dining room, and Kath is going round most of the tables talking to the women. Roo demands to know what is going on but is grabbed by 4 heavies and taken into the kitchen. Mervin is told to get into the dining room, which he does. Roo is tied up and gagged. Rodney demands to know what is going on but he is grabbed and tied up too. Then Kath and the others barricade themselves in. She tells Joyce, who is outside the dining room, that nobody is leaving the dining room until Cynthia hands in her resignation. Joyce suddenly smiles to herself.
Meg arrives at the prison where Tania was being held and is surprised to see Joan being inducted.
Meg: Joan!
Joan: What are you doing here Morris? Come to gloat? Well you can tell your friend Cynthia that Tania Layton will talk now. I'll make sure of that.
Meg: But that's who I'm here to see.
Officer: I'm afraid that won't be possible.
Meg: But I assure you it is very important. It's only for a minute, and it is a legal matter.
Officer: I'm sorry, but it's totally impossible. Tania Layton was found hanging in her cell this morning.
Meg and Joan look at each other in horror..........

Episode 758 - SEASON FINALE
Brumby and Cindy are walking down the street laughing about how they got away. They are now dressed in civvies.
Cindy: Fancy that daft bitch not seeing us nick her clothes off the line.
Brumby: Yeah she must have been blind.
Cindy: I can't believe we're finally free of that place.
Brumby: Yeah, and old bloody Leach, and Roo bloody Morgan.
Cindy: That was a real clever plan of yours Brumby.
Brumby: Well it was lucky that Candy woman turned up when she did, I'd have loved to have seen Joyce's face when she found 'em together.
Cindy: Me too. What a weirdo though, fancying Mervin of all people.
Brumby: Takes all sorts I suppose. Right, I think this is the place.
They reach the front door of a flat and Brumby rings the bell.
Cindy: Who lives here?
Brumby: An old mate of mine, she told me to look her up when I get out. She didn't say I had to be out legally though.
Cindy laughs
Brumby: Come on, answer the bloody door.
Cindy: I don't think there's anybody in.
They go round the back and notice that the kitchen window is slightly open.
Brumby: Reckon you can get through there?
Cindy: I'll have a go.
Cindy manages to get through, whilst knocking several plates off the side in the kitchen.
Cindy (shouts): I'll go round and open the front door.
Cindy lets Brumby in, and then they look around.
Cindy: Not a bad place. A bit messy but.
Brumby: I wonder if she's got any alcohol hidden away.
They look in the cupboards and Cindy produces a bottle of vodka.
Brumby: Great! Let's get pissed!
Pat Slattery is reporting to Cynthia that the women have barricaded themselves in the dining room, and they have Rodney and Mervin as hostages.
Cynthia: What?! The stupid fools! Right I want all the officers armed. I'm not taking any chances.
Pat: Is that wise Governor? It could alienate them more.
Cynthia: Just follow orders please Mrs. Slattery. You're not paid to have an opinion.
Pat (annoyed): Yes governor.
She goes out, shutting the door loudly. Cynthia gets on the phone to the department.
Edwina is in her isolation cell complaining to the officer who has just brought her meal that it is cold. The officer shakes her head and walks out of the cell. Edwina spits something out, and it is a note saying "YOU'RE STILL DEAD!". Edwina shouts out to the officer that she's not safe, the officer just walks off.
Joyce is stood outside the dining room when Marty comes around the corner with a stocky new prisoner, in her late 30's.
Marty: What's going on?
Joyce: The women have barricaded themselves in. They say they won't come out until Miss. Leach resigns.
Marty: You're joking. Well I'll take O'Leary to her cell then.
Su (new prisoner): No way. I want in on the action.
Marty: Sorry but you're coming with me.
Suddenly Su knees Marty in his privates, then she takes Joyce by surprise and grabs her, and then shouts to the women in the dining room.
Su: Quick, let me in. I can help you.
Kath: Who are you?
Su: Su O'Leary, I'm from Helmslough. Quick.
Marty starts to get up and Kath quickly lets Su in with Joyce.
Mervin: Joycie! What have you done to her?
Su: Relax, I haven't hurt her. I just figured we could use another hostage.
Kath: Well we don't need any more hostages. This is a peaceful demonstration.
Su: Get real. You don't think you'll get anything like this do you?
Chrissie: Well what would you do then?
Su: The way I see it we need weapons. Then we storm the place and bloody well make them listen to us.
Kath: And where do you suppose we get these weapons from?
Su produces a flick-knife.
Su: Will this do for starters?
Meg is sat at Ann's hospital bed, moaning about how Cynthia is going to win now they've lost their witness.
Ann: It all seems very convenient. Layton killing herself like that. You don't think Cynthia could have got to her somehow do you?
Meg: I don't see how, although nothing would surprise me with that woman.
Ann: Dammit. I've got to get out of here and back to work as soon as possible.
Meg: You just be careful. You're not strong enough to fight her yet.
Ann: Don't you believe it Meg.
Brumby and Cindy are sat around laughing, both drunk out of their skulls. Suddenly the door opens and a familiar face enters the room - Vicki McPherson!
Vicki: Bloody hell, Brumby. What the hell did you come here for?
Brumby: Vick. How are you me old mate. This is Cindy Simpson.
Vicki: I know, I saw her on the news, and I see you've helped yourself to my grog. Well you can't stay here, this will be one of the first places the cops look.
Cindy: Oh please. Just for a couple of days.
Vicki: A couple of days ay?
Brumby: Yeah, just till we get some money together. Then we'll be out of your hair, honest.
Vicki: And just how do you plan on getting enough money together?
Brumby: We've got it all worked out. We're going to pull a job on that garage down the road. That should give us enough money to get far enough away.
Vicki: You're bloody mad. You'll never get away with it.
Cindy: Well have you got any better ideas?
Vicki: Listen smartarse, you've got buckleys chance with that garage, they never keep much money on the premises. Look, a mate of mine works for a security firm, and he knows how to get his hands on thousands. He keeps asking me if I want in on it but I don't want to go back inside for no-one.
Brumby: Well if you just help us with this one job then you won't see us ever again.
Vicki: No way, I'll give you his name but I'm not risking going back inside for you two. Now pour us a drink will you.
Cynthia is in her office being given a dressing down by Janet Walsh from the department. Janet tells her that there have been too many incidents lately and she expects a vast improvement. Cynthia argues that she's not stepping down for Reynolds, but Janet reminds her that her position is only temporary, and she has yet to prove herself.
Pat Slattery is stood, armed, outside the dining room. Candy is taunting Joyce (who is tied up) by flirting with Mervin.
Su (to Kath): If only we could get that gun off her.
Kath: Forget it. We don't need a gun.
Amanda: I've got an idea if you're interested.
Su: What's that then?
Suddenly Amanda collapses on the floor.
Chrissie (to Pat): 'Ere quick. Amanda's collapsed.
Pat: What's the matter with her.
Pat comes to the door, and Su grabs her by the throat, then puts her flick-knife close to her throat.
Su: Give us your gun and you won't get hurt.
Pat: I caaaaaaaaaowwww! Su squeezes her neck tighter, then Chrissie grabs the gun off her.
Su (to Pat): Okay you, get inside. They open the door.
Su (to Kath): Is there anywhere near here where we can lock this lot?
Kath: Solitary would probably be the best bet.
Chrissie: Yeah, and we can let Sheila out at the same time.
Su: Alright, come on.
Armed, and with keys, the women move out into the corridor, with Rodney, Joyce, Mervin, Pat and Roo, all tied and gagged.
They reach solitary and Sheila can't believe her eyes.
Sheila: What's going on? Who are you?
Su: I'm your new leader. Looks at Kath. Well, somebody's got to.
Chrissie: She'll do, won't she Kath.
Kath (unsure): Hmmm.
Sheila: Great, let's go and get Steele claw.
Su: Who?
Amanda: Edwina Steele, she's in isolation. She's an ex-screw.
Sheila: And she's all mine!
Su: Well she can wait till later, we've got bigger fish to fry at the moment.
Kath: Why are you getting so involved anyway? You haven't been here 5 minutes.
Su: I've got my own bone to pick with Cynthia bloody Leach!
Chrissie: You know her?!
Su: I know of her, she's responsible for my daughter getting hooked on drugs, and I want that bitch for myself.
Mervin, Pat and Joyce are locked in one cell.
Candy: Don't worry Mervy. I'll make sure you're not hurt.
Su: You can join him if you like.
Candy: Nah you're alright. I'll just look in on him from time to time.
Su: Okay, he can go in here.
They throw Rodney in the other cell.
Sheila: Hang on a minute, I want to see if he's actually got any balls.
She pulls his trousers down whilst he is struggling. The women all laugh and make noises.
Kath: I always said you were a joke Adams. That just proves it.
Amongst all the excitement, Roo manages to untie herself and starts to run away. Su spies her and trips her up.
Su: Come on girls. Do you want to teach the bitch a lesson?
Su starts kicking into her, and then all the women join in.
Marty enters the governor's office and tells Cynthia and Janet that the women are no longer in the dining room, and Pat, Joyce or Rodney are nowhere to be seen.
Cynthia: Damn that incompetent Slattery, the women must have overpowered her and got her gun. I should have known she wouldn't be up to the job.
Janet: So the women are running loose in the prison with a gun? This has got to be handled right, we don't want a death on our hands.
Cynthia: We need to get all the other officers together and force them to give in.
Janet: No. Somebody could get hurt. I want every available officer to go to reception, at least we can stop the women from getting outside.
Marty: What about the roof?
Janet: They've no way of getting down, but the police will be here soon anyway. Then they can decide what to do.
Cynthia: I still say we should take them by force.
Janet (raises voice): and I said No! Now Mr. Jackson, can you get the other officers to go to reception please.
Marty: What about you two?
Janet: We should be safe in here for now. By the way, who's the ringleader?
Cynthia: Maxwell I expect.
Marty: Actually it seems that the new prisoner O'Leary has taken over.
Cynthia: Who?
Janet: Susan O'Leary, she was top dog at Helmslough, and Barnhurst before that, A born trouble maker that one!
Ann has decided to discharge herself, but Meg is frantically trying to talk her out of it.
Ann: I'm quite well enough Meg. The sooner I get back to Wentworth the better off everyone will be. Maybe I can put a stop to poor Joyce's transfer too.
Meg: Well if I can't talk you out of it then maybe your kids can.
Ann: Meg! Don't you go worrying Paul and Pippa. I don't want them rushing back here again.
Meg: OK I'll do you a deal. If the doctor decides you're fit enough to leave then I won't ring them.
Ann: You drive a hard bargain Meg Morris.
Wendy is shocked when the officers start filing into reception, all armed.
Wendy (to Marty): What's going on?
Marty: The women are running riot, and they've got a gun, and hostages.
Wendy: Oh my God.
Marty: Don't panic, they won't come through here, we've got far more guns than they have.
Wendy: I hope you're right.
The women have congregated in the recroom.
Chrissie: Great we can watch telly at last.
Su: You can watch it later! First we need to plan our next move.
Chrissie: Oh it's all right for you, you haven't been without telly and other privileges for weeks.
Su: There's more important things to worry about at the moment, like making sure the hostages aren't found.
Kath: You've got Sheila and Ronnie guarding the corridor, that should be enough.
Su: I hope so, without hostages we might as well give this thing up.
Candy: I don't know why you wouldn't let me wait down there.
Su: Because you obviously can't be trusted around Mervin, although God knows what you see in him.
Candy: He's lovely. What sort of man do you go for then?
Su: I don't!
Amanda: You mean...?
Su: That's right, I'm gay, got a problem with that?
Amanda: No. Whatever floats your boat I say.
Su: Fine, well shall we get on with what we're supposed to be discussing then?
Kath: We need to let them know what our demands are soon, otherwise they'll call the police - if they haven't already.
Su: You're right. It's my guess that they're all guarding reception, so we need to send somebody who's dispensable.
Chrissie: Well I'm not going. I need to keep my nose clean so I get my parole, otherwise I'll never get Elizabeth back.
Su: You're joking. You're in this up to your neck. OK you can go. (points to Candy)
Candy: Why me?
Su: Because I said so, now all you've got to do is tell them that we won't accept anything less than Cynthia's resignation, otherwise we start cutting bits off the screws.
Candy: Not Mervin!
Su: No, we'll save your precious Mervin till the end.
Kath: We're not really going to cut them up....are we?
Su: We might have to, if we want them to take us seriously. Now before we go on, is there anybody who wants to pull out?
Chrissie: What, go over to the screws side you mean? No way!
Su: Good. What about you Kath, you seem concerned about the hostages?
Kath: I just don't want to hurt anybody unnecessarily that's all, but we've come this far so we can't pull out now.
Su: No we can't. What about you? (looks at Amanda)
Amanda: I've got my own score to settle with Cynthia Leach. I'm not pulling out.
Su: Good. Let's take the bitch down then.
The women all start to cheer.
Meg is driving Ann home.
Meg: I can't believe the doctor said you could leave.
Ann: I didn't really give him a lot of choice, but I've got to get back to Wentworth Meg.
Meg: You know what the doctor said, you're not ready to go back to work yet. You've got to rest.
Ann: Rest?! Knowing that the woman who tried to have me killed is running my prison?
Suddenly a news report comes on the radio saying that the women at Wentworth have rioted and taken members of staff as hostages. Meg and Ann look at each other in amazement.
Candy goes to reception and stops at the gate.
Marty: What's going on?
Candy: I'm not coming any further. I'm just here to tell you that the women won't accept anything less than Cynthia's resignation, or they'll start hurting the screws, apart from Mervin. By the way, I'm not involved in this, they didn't give me any choice. Bye.
With this she runs off. Marty gets on the phone to Cynthia.
Cynthia comes off the phone and tells Janet that the women have threatened to hurt the hostages if she doesn't resign.
Janet: Perhaps we should give them what they want. Now that Mrs. Reynolds is....
Cynthia: There's no way I'm giving in to that lot.
Janet: Well I can't see any alternative. The police won't co-operate, they say it's an internal matter. Mrs. Reynolds will be back soon anyway, perhaps a transfer is the answer.
Cynthia: You're prepared to be dictated to by a bunch of crims? If you do that then every prisoner in the country will try it on.
Janet (thinks for a minute): I daresay you're right. OK then I'll go and talk to them.
Vicki tells Brumby that she'd better only have one more drink as she has to work that evening at 7:30 at a local factory.
Brumby talks her into having one more and Cindy sneakily slips a pill into the drink while Vicki and Brumby aren't looking.
Janet, accompanied by two armed officers goes to the nearest security gate to talk to the women.
Janet (through megaphone): O'Leary, can you hear me?
Su comes round the corner with Chrissie, Kath and Jacko.
Su: You'd better not try anything. Not if you want to see those hostages alive again.
Janet: You know what'll happen to you if they come to any harm.
Su: So how can things get any worse here? No, we're prepared to do anything to get rid of that bitch Leach.
Kath: You must realise what she's like for heaven's sake.
Janet: OK so she's strict, but don't forget this is a prison. You are here to be punished.
Chrissie: How could we forget? Doesn't mean we have to put up with being bashed by screws though.
Janet: That is a very serious accusation. I hope you've got proof.
Su: We don't need proof. We know what she's like, and we want her out.
Suddenly a swarm of prisoners come round the corner and start shouting. "We want her out, we want her out."
Janet and the officers head backwards.
Brumby and Vicki are both asleep. Cindy smiles to herself as she sees the clock says five to eight.
Janet is in the governor's office talking to the police on the phone. Finally they agree to come and sort the women out. Janet puts the phone down and tells Cynthia that the police are coming.
Rodney is trying desperately to untie himself. Roo is laying next to him, very badly beaten.
Next door, Candy opens the hatch and talks to Mervin.
Candy: Don't worry Mervy, I won't let them hurt you. I'm going to let you out, and you're going to be very nice to me in return.
Candy slowly opens the door with a key, and goes over to Mervin. Suddenly Joyce, who has managed to free her hands, grabs Candy from behind with her hair. Candy screams.
Meg and Ann turn up at reception.
Marty: Mum! Mrs. Reynolds! What are you doing here?
Meg: Ann wanted to come and talk to the women. I tried to talk her out of it but she insisted.
Ann: Thank you Meg. Marty, I think I can get this resolved fairly quickly if I talk to the women.
Marty: I'm not so sure of that, there's a new leader now and she's totally taken over. I don't think she'll listen to reason.
Meg: What is it they want?
Marty: Miss. Leach's resignation.
Ann: Well in that case I share their grievances.
Sheila is in the isolation block and she lets herself in with a set of keys. She is shouting to Edwina that her time is up, in her hand she is holding a large piece of wood. Sheila slowly goes into one of the cells and stops suddenly. Edwina is lying dead on the floor, with her neck obviously broken.
Janet tells Cynthia that the police should be here soon, and she's going to have another talk with the women. She moves to the door, but suddenly it opens and the women start pouring into the governor's office. Some of them grab Janet and take her out into the corridor. Su looks at Cynthia across the desk and points a gun at her, and says "This is for my daughter you bitch!"...................
