Here is a brief introduction of the main characters of episode 751, and what they've been up to since we last saw them:

Characters ANN REYNOLDS
Still governor of Wentworth, but has been strongly considering taking the Head of Department job - which is currently vacant. Ann's reforms are working well and she has achieved a far more harmonious relationship with the inmates. With Joan gone the place has been running quite smoothly of late. Ann fears this could change as Wentworth is becoming maximum security due to the permanent closure of Blackmoor, the new Helmslough prison is about to be opened which will take Wentworth's place. Ann's personal life has been a bit bumpy. Her ex, Wally, has returned to Wentworth as a handy man come pottery teacher, although there are no signs that they will be anything more than just friends this time. Also, Ann has had a major falling out with her daughter, Pippa, but is keeping very tight-lipped as to what it's about.

MEG MORRIS
Deputy governor Meg has just returned from a holiday in Florida, where her old friend and ex-deputy governor of Wentworth, Colleen Powell, has just got married to a man called Graham. Colleen asked Meg to move over there with them but she declined. Meg probably regrets this decision when she gets back and hears all the latest developments, especially the news that Cynthia Leach is coming to work at Wentworth! This news alone has prompted Meg to apply for the governor's job if Ann gets the Head of Department job.

JOYCE PRINGLE
Joyce is still happy in her work, and her marriage, although Mervin has been acting a bit suspicious of late. She also has her own regular column in the prison newspaper 'The Stir'.

MARTY JACKSON
Marty's life has been a bit quiet of late. He's currently at home living with Meg, his mother. He had hoped to see a bit of Spike after she was released, but she just wanted to move on. Delia still has a bit of a crush on him, but it's totally requited, and he's still constantly at war with Rodney.

KATH MAXWELL
Still top dog, Kath seems to have really settled down to prison life now. Rita has been moved to a low security prison hospital to see out her final days, and Alice has gone with her, so Kath has a free rein of the place. Kath and Ann are getting on very well, and the prisoners have much more say in how the place is run. Kath has most of the women on side, and things are running very smoothly - at the moment!

LISA MULLINS
Lisa hasn't got long left to serve after being set up by Rodney, but she's using her time by being editor of 'The Stir'. Recently there was a workman called Roy Bateman, who came to sort out the electrics, and Lisa and him had a bit of a thing going. In fact, Lisa is now pregnant with his baby and hasn't told a soul about it.

MERLE JONES
Merle and Kath are getting on famously again, but Merle could be set for heartbreak again as she is becoming a bit too close to Wally. She recently had a crush on teacher Tom Lucas, and things got so awkward that he ended up leaving. Merle was devastated, but has now turned her affections towards Wally. He thinks he is doing the right thing by keep praising her on her pottery work, but she is taking it all the wrong way and Kath is getting worried about her again.

BRUMBY TUCKER
Her friend Vicki was recently released and Brumby seems to have started questioning Kath's decisions a lot lately. Kath likes to talk things through with people, whereas Brumby thinks a good bashing is the answer - because of this they are often at loggerheads.

CYNTHIA LEACH
Not seen before episode 751, but we know she has been on long service sick leave and is due to start at Wentworth as Joan's replacement. She is very dangerous and a lot more ready with her fists than Joan was. Joan had a few soft points, whereas Cynthia seems to have none at all!

RODNEY ADAMS
Has a rocky relationship with the governor, and is always criticizing her decisions. Rodney has got quite big for his boots since Joan left. Ann doesn't like him one bit and is longing for an excuse to sack him. Unfortunately she has never had the evidence against him to do so. At least Kath seems to have him under control for the moment.

DELIA STOUT
Still hanging on at Wentworth, although the job is wearing her down a bit lately. What she needs is a good man!

PAT SLATTERY
Her appearances have been a bit more regular lately, although she's still waiting for that major storyline!

AMANDA SPENCER
Recent arrival who is doing nothing to make friends amongst the women, she is in her early 40's and very posh. They all know she's hiding something, and some of them even think she's an undercover cop. She has told them she's in for credit card fraud, but really she was one of Melbourne's most wanted drug dealers until her capture last week. She made thousands of dollars on the outside pushing drugs but then got greedy and began selling dirty drugs - laced with animal medicines and anti-biotics which caused series illness to anyone who took them.

EDWINA STEELE
Edwina is a bit of an odd-ball character. Aged 55 she has spent over a month being isolated from the other women due to the fact that she used to be a prison officer in Western Australia, and she is now inside for beating an inmate to within an inch of her life. Now she has been put with the other women, who don't know her secret, but she is making no effort to get on with anybody as she doesn't really see herself as a criminal.

CINDY & ROSLYN SIMPSON
These are 2 identical twins who were brought into Wentworth right at the end of episode 750. How will they react to prison life?

HELEN STEVENS
Helen was transferred from Barnhurst in episode 692. Since then she has fitted in quite well, and is quite happy with Kath as top dog - although she has done a few silly things. The latest is making a batch of home made 'grog' in the reward cell without telling anybody about it.

WALLY WALLACE
Old flame of Ann's who turned up at Wentworth a few weeks ago as an applicant for the handy-man's job, which he'd seen advertised. Ann decided he'd be perfect for the job, and then persuaded him to start up his pottery classes again to give the women a new interest after Tom Lucas had left suddenly. They are quite happy just being friends, and there hasn't even been the slightest hint of romance between them since he returned.
