Franky Doyle Returns...

 Sunday the 21st of November 2004, Saw Carol Burns recreate her character Franky Doyle for one night only...
She was joined on stage by former Prisoner actresses Liddy Clark (Bella Albrecht and Sharon Smart) Sally McKenzie (Roo Morgan) and Hazel Philips (60s Aussie TV star) who hosted a afternoon TV show and acted in Number 96 and Certain Women. Others on stage were Shiela Bradley, Karen Crone, Jenny Gould and Penny Everingham.
It was a great night and I must admit I had goose bumps as Franky walked on stage. "The Prisoner Sketch" was a tongue in cheek look at Prisoner, very funny. It looked as if the cast had a great time on stage as we all did in the audience.
The reason from this amazing re-appearance was a Fundraising Concert, "Hatsoff Brizvegas" a fund raiser for Oz Showbiz Cares / Equity Cares (Maggie Kirkpatrick and Annie Phelan are involved with a similar event in Melbourne and Sydney). I had a quick chat to Liddy Clark afterward and she said they all had a great time on-stage and it was lots of fun. Unfortunately i didn't manage a chat with Carol.
The next Hatsoff Brizvegas is Nov 9th 2005.
