Held in February 2006, the annual Prisoner Party took place in Melbourne. Arranged by Roz Vecsey and Simon Hall of Partners In Crime, as expected a great time was had by all who took part.
Guest of honour was none other than Glenda Linscott who of course played Rita Connors towards the final run of Prisoner in 1986. She had such a good time that she's now even more likely to appear at future events!
The evening was a great success - complete with a typical Aussie BBQ and a Prisoner quiz, the fun carried on through the night! Prisoner fan from Melbourne, Kerry Lennard, had a blast - at this her very first Prisoner event:
"This year's Priz party was the first that I have had the pleasure of going to, despite the rain, and did it rain, it was a great day. Many thanks to Corrine and Travis for being such lovely hosts.
There were plenty of Priz stories to be told, dvds to watch, Priz quiz to do, and one of the fans (Trevor) had even made his own Prisoner board game!
When Glenda walked in I couldn't believe how young she looked, she still looks the same and has not aged at all since being in Prisoner. She is lovely to talk to, so friendly and shared a lot of Priz stories with us.
I had an absolute ball at the party and am looking forward to the trip next year. Hope to see you all there!"
