I guess probably my work in theatre with the Melbourne theatre company has to be up there: playing Masha in Checkhov's 'Three Sisters', Beatrice in Goldoni's 'The Servant of Two Masters, (Where I got to dress up in dashing male clothes. and have a swordfight!) and Catherine in 'The Heiress' are most memorable for me. As for television, I loved playing Rev Rosie, but would have liked more interesting storylines! and working on Bellbird with Alan Hopgood was great fun too. _______________________________________________________________________________ Hi Maggie, Am I right in thinking you appeared in the show The Sullivans? Sue, Dublin. You're absolutely right Sue; I played Elizabeth Bradly, who was going to marry Dave at one stage, after dear Grace was blown up; in the blitz! You must be very proud of that fact that although you only did 3 short stints 'inside' - you are still one of the best loved and most memorable characters in its 8 year run! Also, what are you memories of working with the wonderful Sheila Florance? Lots of love Andrew XX I had no input as far as the writing of the character - only rarely do actors have such input. The portrayal was entirely my own - as I saw her from the material I had to work with. I guess the fact that she made quite an impact shows that I did a reasonably good job!! Sheila was certainly a memorable character. She was full-on all the time, and woe betide anyone who got on the wrong side of her. The day after the episode in which Marie heavied Lizzie I din't dare go out!! Lizzie was a hugly popular character, and I knew her fans would not be happy!! _______________________________________________________________________________ Hey there Maggie, What I'd like to know is how did the producers decide who got to go on the opening credits of Prisoner? and more importantly why didn't they put you on them? I think they should of put you on, your character was definitely my favourite and I'd of loved to have seen Marie Winter's mugshot. Love Paul P.S. I think your paintings are amazing.
