First Ep: 215
Last Ep: 227
Total featured: 13 episodes
Close to: Bea Smith
Current Status: Released

Middle-class inmate, Alison has huge problems in trying to adjust to life inside Wentworth and initially does herself no favours as she believes she shouldn't be mixing with all of the other women, who are not of a similar class to her.

She thinks that all of the women are picking on her, but this generally isn't the case. She misses her family so much and lets things get to her that she attempts to kill herself in episode 216 by pushing a metal coat hanger into the electrical wall socket. She electrocutes herself but is rescued by Bea Smith who uses a wooden chair to break the circuit. Jim Fletcher gives Alison mouth-to-mouth resucitation and saves her life.

When recovered, Alison is moved into the same cell as Judy Bryant (episode 218). She is given the chance to work in Reception - Bea tells her to take the offer as long as she does what Bea tells her.

Doreen and Kathy attack Alison in front of her family during a visit (episode 219).

When Bea realises that Alison has access to the prisoner files in reception, she steals Hazel Kent's file on Bea's orders but Vera becomes suspicious. Bea tells Alison that she wants her to 'borrow' other files.

Alison gets some bad news about her son Chris - he has disappeared from home. Luckily he is found shortly after, but things get worse when her husband Don has an accident at work (episode 222). He is told to rest for six weeks which means that nobody will be available to look after the children while he is out of action.

When Alison is upset in her cell, she is caught by Colleen who gives her a dressing down for leaving reception without permission. Clearly with her mind on other things, Alison pushes Colleen against the locker (episode 226) and Colleen decides to make a report on the incident - meaning that Alison may be stuck at Wentworth for even longer.

Colleen is persuaded to drop the report following pressure from the other inmates and Erica. Alison is released in episode 227, now that she is no longer in trouble.
