Tries to seduce Judy (episode 161) but Judy isn't interested so Anne tells Bea that Judy's planning an escape.
Bea is convinced that Anne has been stealing money from the other women, and was also the person who attacked her from behind so sets her up to see if she will lag to the screws. When the officers come running (episode 163), Bea realises that Anne is not to be trusted but it's too late as she already knows the womens' escape plans for when the Christmas play is performed.
The women try to make it look to Anne that their plans for an escape were just a joke but she doesn't seem to believe them. The escape goes ahead as planned (episode 165) but Anne has been watching the women go through with it and pours a wheelbarrow of soil and rubbish to cover over the escape tunnel lid with, after Bea has gone down it to try and bring Lizzie back.
Disaster strikes when the tunnel collapses, trapping some of the women. The attempts to rescue them are made worse following the covering over of the lid by Anne. When Bea gets back, she is confident that Anne is responsible for trapping them in the tunnel and this is confirmed when the other women get a message to her naming Anne. She is persuaded not to kill her.
Dr Weissman finds out that Anne's family attempted to hide her mental problems from everyone when she was young.
Anne is attacked by Chrissie when she refuses to give Chrissie the photographs of her daughter (episode 167).
