One of Wentworth's most unique inmates, Barbie arrives at the prison with future top dog Rita Connors. Her crime is not revealed during the induction process although it causes shock for Meg Morris and Joan Ferguson who are processing their arrival.
An obvious source of comic relief for the series, Barbie doesn't really say a great deal - she only appears to have a couple of lines: "Naughty, Naughty!" and "Hi de hi!".
When she does manage to string a sentence together it doesn't really make a great deal of sense. For this reason, we never actually find out much about her nor is her crime ever established.
She is released with Jessie Wyndham in episode 601 and whispers to Jessie why she was sent to prison but the viewer isn't lucky enough to hear.
Barbie makes her final appearance in episode 602 during which she throws tennis balls over the fence, which are filled with alcohol for the women to enjoy.
