Permanently blinded in an accident, Belinda arrives in episode 414 and takes an immediate interest in inmate Sonia Stevens.
When a series of suspicious 'accidents' start harming Sonia (she finds crushed glass mixed into her hand cream, is stabbed in the back with a piece of broken mirror (episode 420) and strangled with a wire from the kettle), it is established that Belinda has deliberately broken the law to guarantee a prison stay. Belinda admits to wanting to kill Sonia and blames her for the accident causing her blindness.
Belinda corners Sonia in the library when the lights have been switched out, in an attempt to finish her off once and for all (episode 428). She grabs a wrench which has been hidden between some of the books but cannot go through with her plans so Sonia's life is saved once again.
Belinda is transferred to another block to ensure she is kept separate from Sonia and we don't hear from her again.
