Wentworth's original punk, Bobbie is introduced in episode 405 along with future top dog Minnie Donovan.
Initially rebellious to everything and everyone, Bobbie tends to keep to herself and spends most of the time listening and dancing to the music on her personal stereo. Sonia Stevens realises that Bobbie's stereo also records without anyone realising so uses this opportunity to get Bobbie to record various conversations that Minnie has. In episode 407, a particularly interesting conversation between Joan and Sonia is recorded. The tape is smuggled out of the prison by Minnie.
Bobbie escapes in episode 416 from the police escorts while being taken to Court for her hearing. Unfortunately her time on the outside is short lived... after stealing a walkman she ends up back inside Wentworth in episode 417.
Cass and Bobbie become good friends. When a mouse caught by Bobbie as a pet for Cass is found dead, Bobbie tries to cheer her up by suggesting she 'adopt' the prison cat Harry who keeps hanging around the kitchen area.
Episode 428 - Bobbie tries to bleach her hair but gets some of the liquid in her eyes. Stan is luckily around to help her and there is no permanent damage - she is quite pleased with her new style hair when her eyes stop hurting!
When Reb noticed Stan clutching his chest, she kicks his pills out the way and he collapses. Bobbie and Cass are nearby to save the day, pushing Reb against a wall and taking care of Stan (episode 429). He makes them promise to keep his medical condition a secret or he'll lose his job.
Bobbie is included as part of the mass escape when the women's day on the outside for a singing competition goes wrong, due to Reb who had arranged for the driver and officers to be drugged making them fall asleep. She and Minnie agree that they'll spend one day on the outside before they turn themselves in (episode 435). The two escapees spend time picking pockets, gambling and eventually turn up the next day at the prison drunk - much to the horror and disappointment of Governor Ann Reynolds.
New Officer Rick Manning causes Bobbie and Cass to fall out as they both have a crush on him. When Rick tells Bobbie that he's not interested, she cries rape to Meg (episode 440) although later backs down. When Sonia Stevens is transferred to Barnhurst, Ann decides it's for the best if Bobbie goes to. The transfer goes ahead as normal, but unbeknown to Bobbie it is a setup to break Sonia out of prison. The two women end up in Sydney and Bobbie is forced to work the streets as a prostitute (episode 443). By chance, officer Joan Ferguson spots Bobbie during a visit to Sydney herself and is responsible for the capture of both escapees who are swiftly returned back to Wentworth.
Bobbie finds out that she is pregnant in episode 455. She tragically loses the baby during the Wentworth fete when Dennis Cruikshank breaks up a fight and Bobbie gets in the way. Bobbie goes through a run of bad luck from this point - when Reb is attacked (episode 466), Bobbie gets the blame - then later in episode 469 she is suspected of poisoning Marlene Warren.
New inmate Angel Adams arrives and immediately has the other women think she is Angel-like in real life, however Bobbie suspects that she can't be trusted. In fact, she's the only person to think this and the other women don't believe her when she tries to explain. Bobbie attacks Angel in the shower block which shocks the other women (episode 482).
Old friend Stan Dobson returns to Wentworth again but this time as a handyman rather than an officer. Bobbie and Stan's friendship is strengthened and Bobbie spends a lot of time working with him, especially in the garden. She is bashed by Top Dog Myra Desmond when it is revealled she has been growing dope plants behind the garden shed in the prison grounds (episode 493).
Following successful training arranged by Officer Len Murphy, Bobbie is granted a work release on the outside as an electrician. She meets another apprentice, Peter, and they become close.
Now on the right path, Bobbie is successful in getting her parole and is released in episode 514 to live under the care of Stan and his wife.
She makes a guest appearance in episode 534 at Marlene's wedding at Wentworth, using the opportunity to announce her engagement to Peter.
