Suddenly appearing in episode 285, Faye becomes the new prison bookie, taking over Margo Gaffney’s role after being transferred to Barnhurst.
Phyllis Hunt and Lil Stokes bash Faye for not paying them what their due in episode 288. Following this, she discovers that all her money has been stolen. As a result, officer Joan Ferguson, who of course is getting her cut, decides to take her off the book in episode 291.
Faye is soon replaced by Margo, and is moved to another wing for a short period. When she returns to H block in episode 340, she becomes a business partner for new cellmate Nola McKenzie. Nola gives Faye a good smack during the following episode, to make it look as if they aren’t consorting together.
To keep in her good books, Faye arranges a visit with an old friend in episode 341 who manages to smuggle in some tobacco to allow her and Nola to role their own cigarettes and sell them to the other women. Nola thinks the tobacco idea is going so well; she introduces an insurance scheme for the women to pay into, with Faye fronting it.
After being paroled, Faye goes to stay with her mother Grace in episode 346. Rather than find a job as Grace advises her, Faye goes gambling on the horses, but does find employment as a cleaner with the help of old friend Maurie Parks. Her sister Glynis allows her to see her nephew and niece in episode 348, but obviously doesn’t want Faye to get too involved in their lives.
Faye plans to take Billy (her nephew) to one of his football matches in the following episode, but ends up taking him to the races. When Glynis finds this out, she announces that Faye won’t be seeing Billy again.
Following this, Faye leaves her mother and goes to live at Driscoll House. She becomes Billy’s only hope when he decides to leave his family home, after a row with his father. Judy refuses to have him stay at the house, but Billy has second thoughts about leaving and decides to go back home. Faye gets an ear bashing at Driscoll from Billy’s parents for not acting responsibly. After they leave, Faye breaks down in tears and tells Judy that Billy is actually her son, but was handed over to Glynis after her teenage pregnancy.
In episode 351, Faye and another old friend ‘Snow’ steal two video machines from her workplace. When the police find them out, Faye is sent back to Wentworth on remand.
Faye’s final appearance is during episode 352, when she is reduced to tears once again by reading a letter from Billy after being transferred to D block.
