Reb KeanREB KEAN
Played by Janet Andrewartha

Reb is sentenced to seven years for armed robbery and is welcomed into Wentworth during episode 422. It's not long before she's already making plans to get out of prison long before her seven years have been served. Reb's mate Gary tells her that he's going to try and get her out and later kidnaps Joan Ferguson's father, Major Ferguson, and tells Joan that if she wants her father back alive she must arrange an escape for Reb by ensuring that she's taken to Wentworth General Hospital where she will be picked up by Gary and another mate Kevin (episode 425). When the Major gives Gary and Kevin the slip and Gary is later killed by Joan, Reb is recaptured and returned to Wentworth.

Joan is furious with the actions of Reb when she returns, and blames her for a stoke which the Major later suffered - she believed brought on by the kidnap attempt by Reb and her gang. From here onwards Joan vows to get back at Reb and make her pay for what happened to her father.

During the Prison fete which Myra escapes, Reb has arranged for some drugs to be brought in hidden in one of the plants which are on sale on the stall which she has set up with Phyllis Pearce. Unfortunately things go wrong when Cass Parker is left in charge of the stall and sells the plant to her brother. Joan finds out what's happened when a fight breaks out trying to get the plant back, and Phyllis ends up 'lagging' on Reb to cover her own back. Reb doesn't take to kindly to this so later gets Phyllis back by attacking her in the shower blocks. Phyllis never recovers from this attack and is left suffering for the rest of her life, brain-damaged.

When Marie Winter arrives she tries to get Reb to help her get rid of the prisoner governor and let Joan take over. Reb's not really interested but starts a fire in one of the cells on Maries orders. Marie takes her up to solitary and tells her they have to kill Myra during the riot which has broke out but Reb refuses. Vexed with this, Marie tips her over the bannisters (episode 466) and Reb is left seriously injured at the bottom of the stairs.

At first Bobbie Mitchell is being blamed for the attack on Reb, but is soon cleared when Reb realises what has happened and lags on Marie (episode 471). Marie is now planning an escape with the help of the Freak but wants to get back at Reb for lagging on her so attacks her in the shower block before she leaves Wentworth via helicopter which has been arranged by Joan. Yet again, Reb ends up in hospital but this time blames Joan.

In Wentworth after a brief escape with her mother Deidre (who also ended up inside) Joan wants to finish Reb once and for all. She leads her to the solitary steps where Reb herself was pushed down - Joan tries to make this work a second time but she loses her balance and ends up dangling from the cat walk. Reb has a flashback of what happened to her and decides to run for help, rather than leave Joan to fall to her death.

Reb appears to have now changed her mind about being a 'baddie' and is now on Myra's side who names her as top dog when Myra decides she's stepping down. This doesn't last - Reb laces a biscuit with cocaine which one of the other women eat without realising. Myra begins to wonder about Reb and records her on tape slagging off the other women (episode 505). Reb is transferred to Blackmoor prison in the next episode after attacking Joan Ferguson.

Reb is later transferred back to Wentworth in episode 577 but comes back a very different person. It is discovered that she has been subject to electric shock therapy 27 times in 8 weeks. She begins to get some of her memory back but doesn't ever appear to be the same Reb who we knew originally. She leaves in episode 589 and we don't hear from her again.
